The older you become, you realize that life is pretty much same or all (most workers in general), and the best way to enjoy is living the small moments rather than chasing for material possessions throughout. Lesson: Life is easy, need not make it complex.

Everybody is different. Potential and success has different levels. Some settles for 10% despite having 100% potential to do great things. I have a family member who is actually smart, has great potential to reach many levels and despite his big qualification he settled for a low rung regular government job (not even a great one). I ask him why and he is simply says he just is okay with where he is. Looking at his life I began to understand that there are potentials in all of us to grow 10X, but despite having so many potentials to level up - which will bring big chang to his/her life, family life, community, society, county etc, there are just too many people who just settles for the bottom, live that regular life and die. Each of its own, but I think how amazing it would be if everybody in life should pursue to reach their fullest potential. Which will let to a more fulfilling life.

One of the best part which i noticed from this whole video that i feel like "Aphasia", basically the conclusion is that, for an entrepreneurs money is the key & for an IAS the prestige is the key, but both mandates have a fear as well as limitations. Likewise, as a IAS you can't afford a expensive things or financial security (Comes with the honest service part), and as an entrepreneur you won't get recognition unless & until your startup won't get SDIT. and the most liked part is: for entrepreneur exit is difficult and for IAS entry is difficult. Anyway, Thanks a ton. 👍

I found Shreyas to be the most mature. He has thought through things. He has realized that the root of all insecurities could be related to death, which shows that he deeply thinks about human condition and emotion. He talked about finding joy in small things rather than achieving something really big. Associating your value/worth to something external is the driving factor of insecurity.

@@sekosolver2381 I do not agree with your calculation . Texas is the best state in us for tax purposes. No state tax and okayish federal tax.plus cost of living is nominal. Still I think yeah 27lpa would be little less but I think the quality of life for 1 person here and there would be comparable with 30lpa here. Also if you are taking savings and an indian person working there then of course savings will be more as in your case but the life quality one would get there with 150k would be comparable to 30lpa here in my opinion. The thing that the IAS officer said about power I also feel it sometimes. One of such incident was when I was driving a motorcycle. I had all the documents and was wearing helmet also, a policeman( they were in a group of 5 or 6 cops) stopped me and without even asking me about my documents he started to yell at me for no reason, he threatened me to cease my bike, took away my keys, and he even grabbed my collar and almost slapped me. I was helpless at that time I couldn't do anything. at that time I also thought about becoming some govt officer. but I love what I do and can't leave it because of single incident.

If your ambition is to help the people out there with your business and make money out of it then go on. Its not illegal. But pls join IAS to make money only. They have lot of power and responsibilities regards laws which impact the flow of business. Regarding 'critical financial emergency' how much benefit should I draw from my consumer so that I can meet my critical financial emergency? I have seen entrepreneurs charging lakhs of money for franchises so that they can chill in their pool waiting for some financial crisis to say 'I collected all this money for this day in my life". Having money for bad times is good idea. But IAS' usually don't die due to lack of money. The contribution they make is worth loosing package of crores and settle at package some lakhs only. However they may lack opportunities to call themselves extraordinary in some cliche podcast. Also so sorry, I couldn't see ratan tata and ambani sitting in this video.

What I see an ias which retire at least of 3.5 Cr net worth , which is worth by trading , high risk bonds and stocks , FD in corporate banks and dowry a little %. But these numbers are just showing the black money because an IAS officer can hardly store and save 4cr .

We have two directions of growth in life, Vertical and Horizontal. Vertical is basically lifting high with ambitions and carriers, setting bench marks and achieving goals. Whereas, Horizontal growth can be considering Family life, social and other responsibilities.

Ias officers can earn 2 no. money 10 times of their salary pretty much normally because of the system, then they can make strong contacts with powerful people of that region where they are working with strong contacts and favours their scope of earning grows a lot, they can invest and earn a lot of money from real estate, stock markets and other investments. That's why IAS is one of the most sought out job in india

Civil servants have 56,100/- "base pay" initially....what about other official monetary allowances ? What about the money they save bcoz govt. provides most of the essential facilities without any deduction from salary (house, car, driver, fuel, various bills, etc.) ? If all these things are summed up, the overall package of a civil servant is wayy more than 56,100/- per month....a person in private sector job need almost 4-5 lacs per month to live the lifestyle of a normal civil servant...and to live an IAS level lifestyle, that same person will need almost 8-10 lacs per month...and we aren't even talking about under-the-table income yet....

Base Pay is 56100 but including all TA/DA plus government investment in NPS there in hand at starting is about 90k+. and many people left there lucrative jobs to become an ias because they see they will get both power and money. Both of these ias officers must be having current wealth of more than 2 to 3 cr

Good insights. Would also like to see interviews of people who do not get such high paying jobs right after graduation. I read a report recently which said India produces ~15 lakh engineers each year, of which only ~2 lakh are hired. Add to that, majority of these college graduates join with salaries like 3.5 lpa, even in cities like Bangalore. Many of them do not earn more than 10 lpa even after years. They have to juggle family, kids, parents and what not. And everyone does not even have inherited assets. They are often the only earning members and dreams of starting a company or going for higher studies remain just dreams. We tend to highlight the success stories mostly, but not the stories which speak about the routine of the masses.

Yup, those who are born into rich or upper-class families have many advantages like they don't have to think about earning in their 20s, they don't have EMIs, they don't have to think twice before taking admissions in a good private college but on the other hand, the lower middle guy will face lots of issues even if he is talented because of the financial constraints. it's very hard to be rich when you are born poor.
