Dhirendra sir used to write in Dainik Jagran an article named "Fund ka Funda" and it had his small image (inset) and I grew up reading it, never understood a word but was very interesting. He has been sharing knowledge and helping small investors for decades. He is actually doing public service. Great guy!

First time I saw Dhirendra was when he appeared on CNBC to preview the NFO of Nifty Bees ETF in 2001. The show was hosted by Shireen Bhan if I remember. I was still learning about stock markets and didn't understand much. I also used to watch the show on ET Now with Faye Dsouza where he was the expert. I used to sit with pen and note pad to write down fund names 😂. After I became an MF investor, I have followed his interviews and practical advices. I'm a regular subscriber of Value Research magazines too.

For a larger audience with modest income....Define being rich first. 1cr, 5cr or 100cr. Then calculate how much money one should earn, save to reach the goal and how long it would take to reach there. Invest in compound earning / return giving instrument. Anything means giving little more than inflation with zero or minimal risk is good to start with. Beginners to commence wiith Med Claim cover for family & Simple life cover for all earning members in family. A small portion of savings should go as an emergency fund. Please note salaried guys are already into the game with PF contributions as they are already saving & compounding.
