I made it to the end but no green emoji from me. You get a house emoji! 🏠 My parents bought my childhood home in 1973, I was 2 years old. They sold it in 2016 and I was a wreck! My sisters, brother and parents all had a final walk through when it was empty and we took some great pictures in the yard. I had one printed 11x14 and it's framed on my wall still. I still follow the listing on Zillow in case the house makes it to market in the future, I know it's been sold twice and there were so many updates and changes made, it was really nice to see the house get new life. (It needed updates!) I was really excited to see another family living there, the house needed children again.

My sister and I have bought the same kits at the same time so we can do them together. We did a goldfish that way, which was fun. Now we're doing a Christmas tree. We're not physically in the same place, but it's fun to do the same project as the same time.

Although I'm an Idahoan, my grandpa lives in Chimney Rock(45 mins in the mountains from Asheville) was missing for 4 days . Last night we saw on the news and shortly after we heard from them at a shelter. They had to be rescued by people hiking from above and then assessing the situation, and needing to raft out of their deep valley by way of the river. An interesting journey for my grandma who had just had hip surgery. She had to be on the river raft attached to a stretcher . We were all very very worried, but now so happy they are safe & rescued from the side of the mountain.

Hi Katie - thanks for thinking of us in the hurricane area. I'm in Augusta Georgia. Lost power 5:30 am Friday morning, just came back on today around noon (Tuesday) We had no power, no internet and no cell service. Totally cut off! But we had food, gas, a generator and not in the middle of a heat wave. So we survived! Lots of family time for sure. I missed the mystery release on Sunday, bummed about that. I'll keep an eye on posts and maybe someone will destash one if there's one that I totally love. But got to Diamond Paint for 10 hours/day. Made a lot of progress on my Halloween mystery kit.

I finished my first cross stitch conversion last month, it was 85x85, Reading Time By Randal Spangler because I missed the DAC version, and it seemed to take forever. I know I felt like a huge weight was lifted when it was finally completed so I know exactly what your talking about. I couldn't even imagine working on something for over 2 years. How do you get that clicking noise from putty? I use dots for my single placer and it makes that satisfying noise but not with putty. 💚

I jumped on those dragon mini dazzles after seeing your sneak peek. I kitted all the drills together and I do one dragon per week at a crafting group that meets every Thursday. They are so cute! They are the only squares I’ve done so far. (I started diamond painting in July.)

Hi Katie! I know exactly what you mean about feeling different about hosting and socialising after The Great Event. I used to love going out and socialising, I was barely ever home. The thought of spending NYE at home was a cause for panic. Now, I try to come up with any reason to NOT have to socialise or interact with other humans. I find that I am much more of a homebody now and similarly, end up with a headache or severe migraine after being around people for too long. I just feel drained. 💚

For your information keep your receipt for Michael’s Make Market purchases until they are completed. One of the kits that I bought did not come with a legend. When I tracked down how to contact the company I received an email response about ten days later and I was asked for the order # which I not saved. 🍀

I had a really hard time when it came time to sell my parents house. 40+ years and tons of memories. Even though it's only a 10 min drive from my own home, I haven't been back. Cherish what time you can as well as the memories made there.
