I used acrylic paint on mine. I found a colour that works for the majority of the symbols. It's a light silver sauge green, the green help to conceal the pink/red. It's a makeup trick i used for my redness and it works also great on my painting.😅🥰

I agree. I wish they had warned us about which kits had been impacted because I wouldn't have purchased this one. I have social anxiety, and going to my local post office is something I avoid because it's crazy where I live. I didn't want the points, but I didn't want to take it to ship it back more, so points it was. I also wish they had offered a gift card instead of points since points can't be redeemed with a discount code. I also wish it had been worth more since we also have to pay for paint or mica. I've seen other companies sell defective canvases, pens, trays, etc., but they sell from their site at a discount. That actually would have been the best option.

I appreciate the time you took to do this. I have this piece and have been waffling on what to do with it. I had started it just to see how bad it would be and then set it aside with discouragement. I hate thinking of it just being abandoned though and am leaning towards working on it anyway. I’ll have to bookmark this video and reference it when I work on it. Thank you!

After completing a diamond painting I always go over it with a roller to make sure the drills r all down and secure. I would only use the mica power after I do that. Someone said only use the power after u roll it bc the powder could get over the entire canvas. Just a tip I heard about the powder. I’m holding off buying any rounds from DAC for now. At least until Black Friday

I used to do that as well. Now I do it section by section and just use my fingers and hands. Hopefully none of the Black Friday kits are affected

I like this idea, even without the pink lines. Round kits for me have too much area between drills and like this idea to cover up those areas better. Thanks for this video. Hope you're doing well 💗

I’ve been doing Drills & Chills and BellaArtSpookyDPAlong. So far I’ve completed Halloween Cat and Any Candy. I do have one other kit starred. I have been super wrapped up with work, visiting my mom ( I’m hoping that gets better soon) and getting ready for my daughter’s baby shower. We have family coming in from out of town for the shower. I received this kit yesterday and I am a bit bummed that I have to deal with this on a kit that would have cost me over $100. I am in Australia so sending the kit back is probably not an option so I guess I will have to outlay more money and get the mica powder.😢

Hello!! They should not cause a problem as the DAC grids are pretty tight fitting so you shouldn't see the pink lines through them. If you do notice it the mica method will work too.

I did do the Mica trick for the painting I had with a white background. It really worked like a charm. I did seal my canvas though.
