I love watching your videos, my fiancé is a truck driver and is gone for 8-12 weeks at a time and these videos make me feel less alone and I thank you so much for that. Also I was wondering if you could possibly do under the stairs soon? I was one of the 10 people that bought it ONE second too late and was refunded and it’s a canvas I DESPERATELY want😂😂 and would love to live vicariously through you until it restocks! I love year end reviews... the longer the better. I feel the same way about month end reviews to plz do one for December as well. Again, the longer the better! My husband started taking down the tree on the 30th while I was on the phone with my mom. When I got off the phone all that was left to do was put the tree back in the box. It was disassembled and all. I was cracking up because yes we were over it. Please dont get rid of your tree til you get another one. Who knows what may happen and better safe than sorry. Also please unbox the kit from the shop that closed. It may open again and even if not I still wanna see it. Great video!!! 🎆🎉🎉

Hi Katie, good morning from Los Angeles County. Thank you for your kit up. My ADHD Stalling is still going on. My owner( caregiver) LOL, told me she will give UPS anything I have purchased. She took all my credit cards. I wasn't planning on purchasing any Diamond paintings at all. I have ran out of room where to put my kits. Remember any medical tests you have: No news is good news, bad news arrives quickly.

On NYE I looked at my fiance and said the tree comes down tomorrow lol. So yesterday we took it down and I have my living room back. 2024 is the year of the dragon which means it's gotta be a good year 🎆

I started doing Diamond painting a few months ago when my husband had a massive heart attack and passed away. My logical, organized mind went south and lost all ability to concentrate. I have read voraciously for 63 years, and now cannot keep up with a plot. Crafts which involved counting and concentrating are out. I lose my train of thought unexpectedly. Grief and seeing my husband die everything I close my eyes makes sleeping difficult. I can; however, manage to do Diamond art. It keeps my mind occupied when I am overwhelmed, and calms it down so I can sleep. If my mind does wander, and I put 3’s on 2’s, it’s fixable.

2023 was great for me! I got a job and kept it and finished a semester because of new meds which is amazing to me :) I finished 3 Diamond paintings this year as a new painter and I can’t wait to finish more next year! Thanks for being so candid it’s nice hanging out with you while I work :) 🎊🎊🎊🎊

I got my official diagnosis in 2022 and I had started diamond painting in 2018 so... I'm pretty sure it attracts all of us. I also have ADHD and other mental health struggles, but I thank you so much for putting your story out there as well to give us support. It is nice to not feel so alone sometimes I think you should check out the CBS show called Fire Country. I love to see month in reviews along with a year in review because it helps me decide what I want to buy/work on

Listening to this 10 days late... I loved hearing about you going to find a snow place for your kids. I think they'd hate living where I do in Saskatchewan where it's clear and cold today ! -36 C (-32.8 F)with a -48C (-54/4 F) windchill factor. This is even cold for us! We've had an unusual winter of no snow until just 2 weeks ago - now it's a normal amount and traditionally cold for January. 🥳

My friend/co-worker told me, "If I have ADHD, you certainly do too." And I believe he's right and it fits. I don't have an official diagnosis, and I don't think anything would change in my life if got one. Seasonal depression is totally a thing, and then you get to add some guilt for spice when everyone you see and all the commercials are telling you "it's the most wonderful time of the year" and if you are not feeling it, there are not many people that will tell you that is OK. You had stuff on your mind, and I'm glad that worked out. Taking time to to be alone is OK. Everyone has my permission to not feel jolly. Great story about the snow day. Would there have been any snow in Ohio if you had been able to go? We didn't have any snow in Minnesota, and it is really unnerving. My tree usually comes down around 26-28December, and New Year's Eve is the latest I will tolerate having to walk around it. I packed it up last night. I hope 2024 treats everyone with kindness. Thanks for the video.

Our first kit was a fail because I got excited about getting Harry Potter and didn't realize how huge it was going to be. I pay more attention now and we've started with "snack sized" kits LOL

I started DP and watching your channel in 2023. I actually bought Library from DIYMoon Shop after seeing it on your channel. Hi Katie. Happy New Year. Yes I am done with my minimal decorations by today. But someone gave me a live little tree in a pot with built in lights, so I’m not gonna throw it away - I’ll keep it as a plant sort of. With the lights on cuz they’re pretty and bright and make me feel good. I stay up (all the years minus maybe one) and watch the ball fall at 12:00 midnight Oregon time (even though it’s technically a repeat by then). I get sort of hopeful feeling when I see the new year lit up at the bottom. I’m glad I feel hopeful cuz I need that after the year I had. I’m trying this new thing and being positive and sending out positive energy to attract positive stuff. So far nothing bad has happened , so maybe I’m doing it right. lol. I learned how to ski at Snow Valley!! Great to hear it still exists. 🎉🎆🥰💜

Hi Katie and Happy New 2024! Watching/listening to your vids is like coming home! Discovered this hobby in 2021 and there has been no turning back. So funny to see you starting 2024 off with a DIY Moon kit. I decided to do the same and pulled out 'Naga" (one of six kits from this shop I have in my stash) by Lioba Bruckner. I was so saddened by the news of their closing because the entire process of placing an order and receiving your kits was such a pleasure and joy! The shop has since been bought and will be open for business this year. Their web page is under construction and you can find the shop under 'Diamond Painting Fanatics.' I knew they had been bought by Diamond Painting Fanatics, but my understanding was that the name, manufacturer, process, etc. was all being changed to match what Diamond Painting Fanatics already has going with their current business. Also, nearly all of DIYMoon’s artists have moved on and signed with other companies. So I think it’ll just be a totally different company and experience, but I wish them all the best!

I started diamond painting about 3 years ago. My grandson came into my life and took time to spend with him so took a pause on diamond painting for 2 years. Started again in September. I started watching your you tube videos then. I love watching your videos with all the advice! I have had a rough year and half so diamond painting has really helped! Today I did take all my Christmas decorations down.

Hi Katie! Thanks for this WIP and chat! I'm sorry for your holiday blues. I know that can be rough for many people and I hope you're feeling better now. I'm glad your kiddos got to enjoy some time in the snow though! That sounds like it was a lot of fun for them which is wonderful! Me and my little family had a nice quiet xmas here at home together and just kept it low key and relaxing. Our little one got spoiled rotten by Santa of course so we helped her set up some of her new stuff and enjoyed watching her play with it which I always enjoy! As for when to take the tree down, I did it on either the 28th or 29th. I honestly can't remember which day it was but yeah, I always do it before NYE. lol Like you, I'm ready to get back to normal now that the holidays are over with. lol Not because I don't enjoy the holidays or anything. It's just that once it's done, I'm like ok, time to move forward. lol! Regarding goals for 2024, mine are to do 1 DP per month but my honest primary focus for this year is completely spiritual in nature (I'm a spiritualist). 😊 I hope you have a great week ahead and I look forward to seeing the diamond painting that you kitted up in this WIP and chat! Hi Katie. Happy New Year 🎉 I didn’t put a tree up in the living room this year, but put up a couple 4’ trees - a silver tinsel one bedside, and a green one in my dining room. I put a lighted garland around my bathroom mirror, and the kitchen window. There’s so much more OUTSIDE. I’ll start taking down after Epiphany. I will start outside and take down anything overtly Christmas 🎄 and slowly get the things that are more winter ❄️ “Christmas lights are my favorite color” Truthfully, they make me happy.

I found your videos last year around Christmas time when I got my first diamond painting and started during that time and I have enjoyed watching your videos since I always look forward to your Monday wip and chats I would always watch them in the morning while I am getting ready for class and now when I am on break from college I still wake up on Mondays looking forward to seeing a wip and chat from you I like how open you are about mental health it has helped me know i am not the only one who second guesses themselves I am now my second year in college and finally have found myself in a major that I feel that fits me and have a hobby at school that I love a lot and I am so glad to have found my place at my college even through it took me till my second year at college.

🎉 I put Christmas away today. Wasn’t planned. LOL I woke up to freaking out over the earthquake in Japan. My daughter and family are stationed over there with the air force. It took a while to communicate with her on their status. They are fine. The quake was on the other side of the island. I was very relieved but also very keyed up. I had to do something with that energy, so take down decor it was. I will sleep good tonight. Happy New Year to you and the family. Your boys sound like little sweeties. Hug them for me. 😘

It is amazing how waiting for things like that mess with your feelings and head even if you think there not. I haven't been feeling good just a cold that has floored me but I watched some of your videos and now I'm not sure if I liked them (as in thumb up) or commented my head is just so full of cotton wool. New Year didn't go to plan for us and I'm already over this year. I have only managed to half do a special drill 30x40 kit as my head just isn't in the right space. ❤ I normally leave my tree up until at least my birthday in mid-January, but sometimes it’s up until Valentine’s Day. 😂 My late husband’s last wish (what kind of Christmas tree had he always wanted but never got to have) was to have a white tree (fake) with red lights, and it totally fits in for Valentine’s theme. With then losing my mom this year I never got into the holiday spirit and decorating just didn’t happen. Thankfully my kiddo was okay with grandpa’s house being the decorated one. The dp community Christmas premieres were a wonderful way to feel connected to community and feel some love and kindness and joy in a year where I had a hard time and was struggling. So here’s to a new year and hopefully some happier days. ❤🎉

HI Katie! I'm one of the newbies who recently found your channel :) You've taught me everything I need to enjoy DP. I've "kitted up" to start my new canvas later this week; it's all ready to go, including sectioning with Washi tape :) Thank you for helping me enjoy DP. I wish you and your family a Happy and Healthy New Year :) :) :) We keep our decorations up until the Three Kings' Day on Jan 6th. My goal for this year is to get in shape ("celebratory emoji")

I’m glad you had a nice time in the snow, and with the kids. I haven’t decorated for Christmas for a while now due to my health and it just being me and my Jewish fiancé, but I usually kept it up for at least a week after Christmas. This was the first first year of doing diamond painting (well towards the end of the year) and I got 4 full size kits done and a few small pieces as well. I was happy to finish the last one yesterday so I didn’t pull it into the new year. I vote for a month in review video! Here’s to a great start for 2024 on your channel ☃️🎉

If you made a December month in review I would watch, but either way I saw them in your year in review. I do have a video idea. I am looking for a diamond painting pen, but have very small hands so a thinner pen would be best. I would be curious how the various shops pens differ in thickness based on your experience. 🎉thanks for a fun wip and chat and heres to an awesome 2024 for all of us.

Hi Katie...Happy New Year! I found your channel during Drills and Chills and love it ❤ this was my first WIP and chat with you and, yes, I made it to the end 🎉. I find your voice very soothing LOL. I am sure others have told you that as well. Thanks for your openness about your autism diagnosis. I would love to hear more about the process as I suspect in myself as well. Very interesting theory as to the attraction of neurodivergency to this hobby. Makes sense though. Loved your story about the snow and the drive to find it. I am in Eastern PA near Poconos and we are terrible this year. Hardly any snow at all yet 🤷‍♀️. Man made snow is not the same, but it's all the ski slopes can do to stay open. As for Christmas...I am over it the day after and all my decor is down before New Year's Day. Our tree is the first to go, but it's easy because we just keep it decorated. Wrap it in plastic wrap and take it upstairs in the attic. I HATE redecorating a tree every year so this was my solution. I suppose it helps that it's only a 4 foot tree that we put on a table. I look forward to your ew content in the new year and I'll be painting right along with you. I started the Diamond Dotz Masterclass The Kiss. So far, it's lots of fun and I am loving the mini drills. Have a good week. Good luck getting the meds adjusted. Sometimes it takes a bit of playing around with the doses to get it right. Hang in there.

My Christmas tree is still up! 😂 it now has hearts on it, in diamond art of course haha I'm doing Easter egg diamond art to go on the tree now. Its good fun. 🎉❤😂

Happy New Year!🎆🐉 I for one will watch a December month in review. I'd love to hear a bit more in depth about some of the smaller paintings and the advent calendar you did. As for ending the Christmas decorations; my husband refuses to put up any holiday decor until at least mid-December (though he probably would love to put up holiday decor the day before Xmas eve lol) so we aren't as sick of it by New Year. We take ours down mid-January.

Hi Katie, I hope you have an amazing 2024 🎉. I'm self diagnosed ADHD. I'm 43, so I'm not sure whether it's worth an official diagnosis, but when I look at myself with ADHD in mind, it explains so much that I hadn't realised before. Anyway, just sat here very behind with my advent calendar diamond painting, so I'm doing some catch up on that while listening to your calming voice 😊

I’ve recently found your channel and watched the beginner video. I’d love to hear what others do for “kitting down” and after the project is finished. I’m also undecided on the multi tools due to difficulties between trays or wax, etc. I’m on my 4th painting (I think). ❤

I'm interested in kitting down too. Wondering if I should keep the drills separate with the canvas (in the appropriate box)....or amalgamate all same # drills together. I am going to kit down my first canvas in the next 2 days.

I haven’t done a video on this, but I may in the near future! I use a box system with dividers, and I bag up the colors individually and have them sorted in DMC order. I do separate bags for drill shapes, and notably different dye lots of the same DMCs. I hope that’s a snapshot bit of help, for the moment!

Happy New Year! 🎆 Our tree came down on Monday. We aren’t consistent about when we do it. My husband wanted to get it done before going back to work Tuesday for this year, but I haven’t put up the stockings yet.🤷‍♀ I would watch a December month end review video too. Though, it sounds like you have plenty of content in the works so I’d certainly understand if you skipped it this time. As always, Thank you for the video!
