I always enjoy your WIP and chats. Sorry you are still sick but glad you are feeling better. If you are worried about spreading it at the convention or to your friend, do another test before you go. If the line is gone, then you are no longer shedding virus and not contagious. If the line is still there and even faint, then mask for sure. I love that you are considerate of others. My son has a medical condition that makes him more susceptible, so I still mask everywhere because I am his caregiver. Sorry to hear about your dental experience. I have had horrible dental problems too, so I really understand the dental anxiety. Glad they were able to spare you a root canal. Enjoy the convention and the visit with your mom. It's wonderful that she can help you with the kids and that you can bond over diamond painting 😊. I did get to the end of the video, but I somehow, erased the emojis from my keyboard so I can't put the angel emoji, but I would have. Feel better soon!

I really enjoy doing a 10cm x 10cm section to feel accomplished. Now if I have extra time on the weekend. I may do multiple of those size sections. It’s fun to share with those we love our stash. My daughter comes in to shop as well. I lol forward to see how your trip goes and how the signing of your painting is as well. I think he will be impressed. You do wonderful work. Right now I’m doing Mermaids and Magic, I’m doing my first Mrs ButterD and I love doing it. Since this kit I’ve acquired 3 others. I’ve been more of a landscape person with an occasional whimsical painting.

I've always used smaller sections! 8cm by 10cm is about my max, anything else becomes overwhelming and I rarely finish a whole section within one diamond painting session. And have fun with the convention!

Im so glad that you are on the mend. That virus is no joke. I havent had it but almost lost my sister to it. Shes had it twice but the first time I was begging her to fight to live. The second time was not nearly as bad. Im so glad you are ok as well as Adam. I ordered that tray and lid in the apprentice size as soon as I saw your video. I cant wait to get it. I couldnt resist that color even tho its not typically my palette. I cant wait to hear about the Supernatural convention and how the actor reacts to the diamond painting. Hi Katie! Greetings from NC. “I need some round drills in my life” 😂 Amen to that! I’m working on DAC’s Guardian of the Winter Forest in squares. It’s coming out gorgeous 💙💙💙 I have Diamond Dotz Irises by Van Gogh at my boyfriend’s house (rounds). My squares sections are 7.5x10cm, and rounds is always bigger. Those are my only 2 active WIPs. I can only get 1 section a day done on the squares.

I am so sorry about Craftabilty. I have two canvases from them. Would love to get a Hannah Lynn from DAC. But, my caregiver took my credit cards. She is only allowing me to get fast food with my debit card. I am glad your Mom likes Diamond painting. No one I know personally does. Even my caregiver calls Diamond painting a hobby for 14 year old girl s. I got some Diamond painting supplies from a discount shop. My caregiver very nicely kicked my purchases into the entry hall. Saying here is your sh**ty Diamond painting junk. I went to pick up, and fell on my derriere. I was screaming, hollering, and crying. Took the EMTs to get me up. Why? My caregiver can't accept I enjoy Diamond painting. I thought the Oscars were going to be in St. Patrick's Day, next Sunday. Oh well. Glad you are getting better. Carrie the owner of the pen shop at Leopard Leatherworks gave the great tip to use teflon tape ( for plumbing) around the placers vs washi tape. It works soooo much better than washi tape

So glad you are feeling better!! Ugh getting sick during a long dentist appointment is no fun. I love the way this kit is turning out, can’t wait to hear how the signing goes 👼🪽I do like LoK but it definitely is different from ATLA. The fights are great, there are some good villains, and I liked the way they aged up some of the conflicts Korea experiences. But she is very different from Aang and has conflicts that are representative of that. Worth the watch for sure! I’d love to hear your thoughts if you get into it 😊😊

Glad you're back and on the mend! Tonight I worked on Summer Nights by Hannah Lynn, then I switched and did the Rapunzel Disney sticker. No events for me in March. I was going to participate but changed my mind due to constant drama with the hosts. It's draining and not fun :( BUT I'm looking for an Ivy Dolamore event....I think there's one in May, so I may do that. Have so much fun at the convention!!! Can't wait to hear all about it! 😇

I still prefer to work by subject matter. I'm now working on Autumn Bridge by Chuck Pinson. I had the grand plan of doing 4x6 inch sections with my current piece. Because of ALL the confetti I was working for an hour longer then I wanted to, so I have scaled my sections back to a size I can complete in 90 minutes. I reward myself with a color blocking piece, because my brain needs the chance to complete a section without having to change colors too often. My reward piece is Dobby is Free! 🥰

Oh no! I'm sorry you and hubby got sick but I'm glad you're both on the mend (and I'm glad you took off last week too). You should definitely watch Korra. IMHO it's not as good as the original AtLA, and the start of season 2 wasn't that good, but seasons 1 and 3 and 4 are pretty good. I loved Korra and the other women in the show. Hope you have a wonderful time at the con! 👼 Looking forward to hearing about it when you get back.

I typically do a 6”x6” section at a time. I eyeball putting washi on so sometimes it could be a little bigger or a little smaller. But that size works well for me.

I think I heard from another pen turner group page that if you want your DAC tips to fit without using washi, to email them and just ask if they can make the hole smaller to fit the new DAC tips. I'm sure that tip applies with all pen turners. It doesn't hurt to reach out and ask.

Do you use Gemsflow? Maybe take a screenshot of your stash if you do and send it to your mom. That way she can preshop your stash and, if you have time, you can grab those she likes to show her when she arrives

I’m happy you’re feeling better now. You didn’t know you were sick at the dentist so don’t worry too much. As far as blocking off my kits I use release paper so I do as much as one covers at a time, they’re 3”x 5” sometimes I get into the next section in a seating, sometimes I don’t get it all done but I try to stick to it. I hadn’t heard about Craftibly closing, how sad I hadn’t had a chance to buy from them. I hope you have a great convention and I would love to see the autographed painting! 👼🏻

Hope you incorporate some photos or clips from the convention in a wip and chat. I’ve never been to one. Exciting to have a dp signed. I think our group went up a few months before yours and besides that maybe Mrs coffees was licensed only I can’t remember haven’t been in there for a while. The big C is going to come around every year like the flu. I had it once back in Nov and it knocked me out entirely for 2 weeks my body hurt so much! Hopefully it passes soon 👼

I am participating in 2 events next month that are both squares so I needed a round 😂 Both events next month are new to me events and my canvases are big. I am happy that you are feeling better and on the mend. I am super sad that I didn’t get a chance to support Craftibly before they announced the closing but I did buy 3 to help support where I could and now I will hold on to these and save them for what you call a rainy day!!

😇 I am right there with you. The country needs to stay in wintertime or summertime, as I call them. I fully understand we wanted to give our workers and farmers extra daylight to get things done during the world wars. I think that with the advent of modern farm equipment and more technology something like daylight savings isn't needed anymore. I'm glad you're feeling better because I usually like to listen to you while I have breakfast on Monday mornings. Also I too am working on a kit for Mermaids and Magic 2024. 👼🏻 When I first started diamond painting I participated in so many events! And just like you said I ended up with a ton of wips. Now if I participate it’s just for the community aspect. I’ll use the hashtag and post in Facebook groups but I won’t try to meet whatever criteria needed for prizes. That’s helped a lot. I can go at my own pace but still feel a part of the community ❤ Have fun at the convention! Would love to see a mini vlog of you getting the painting signed 😊

President Johnson did actually sign a bill to make Daylight Saving permanent, but after 2 years of DS not ending, the time change was put back into practice. Supposedly it was due to public not wanting to change their habits of changing the clocks twice a year. I’m assuming it’s the same situation as to why the US doesn’t use metric measurements, besides in the science fields. As far as Korra, it’s not required to watch after ATLAB, unless you want to see what happened after the events from ATAB. Also keep in mind that the show was only supposed to be 1 season and each following season wasn’t announced until the previous season was almost finished, this means that the show will feel finished and rushed, at the end for each season.
