I am brand new to crocheting. I only stated because someone put 2 garbage bags stuffed with old yarn into my auction winnings. I hated to see it go to waste so I scoured KZbin for tutorials. So many of them are music and no talking. I was disheartened. Then I found Juan, Juan the yarn addict, Juan the magnificent. He spoke to me like I was his best friend, he taught me how to make the stitches then turn the stitches into what will done be a blanket. He started me on the road to addiction (I have already bought much more yarn) Don't add an intro. You are my friend. I don't need fanfare to announce you. I sit and crochet with my friend while I binge on his videos. Never change. You are already the best.

My grandson in law is 6 ft. Tall. I am making him a "sleeping on the couch" afghan. He wants it long enough to go from his heel, across his toes,and up to his neck, tucking around his shoulders. He wanted bamboo or cotton. We chose Caboo in stripes using 2 each of Browns, greens and blues. He didn't want any fancy stitches so it is all half, single & double crochets. Now his wife wants one in more girly colors! I love that blanket your working on.

I was getting depressed with having to rip out so much so often on the shawl I'm working on until I found your wipn with Juan... It gave support and time in the day to just crochet.. I've been watching them back to back to try to become current... Then I'll try to become current on other aspects of your programs... Sooner or later I will catch up... I'm not making as many errors since I've been crocheting with you and am now not so depressed

I have WIP's but I don't do them all the time. I am one that cannot crochet everyday. I pick it up when I am ready to do it, then I do it for a while and then I put it down again. When you mentioned on how to do intros. I would prefer you keep doing it the way you are doing it(getting right into it). I don't like all the glitter and glam even though I do like glitter and glam on other things. I think people do the fancy stuff to get more likes and money based income. I like just the down to earth stuff, like what you are doing now. I could listen to you all day. I know what you mean by having your aunt and mother loving you for who you are because I have a son just like that. I could not help the way he was born but I love him all the same because he is mine. I am working on baby blankets with the moss stitch to be exact. But I listen to you instead of crocheting. I always have in my mind to do blankets because that is what I prefer to do. I have trouble going out of my comfort zone. I don't do clothing because it looks too hard and I am a little bit on the heavy side to make anything of that sort. Keep doing what you are doing. I just love hearing you gab at things as if I was in the room with you.

Good morning. My hook if going year round - it never stops - I hook my smaller projects like hats, fingerless gloves, scarfs, shawls, baby blankets during the summer. Then in the cooler months I do the heavier blankets 😊right now I’m on baby blanket # 9.

I have a multitude of whips. I get bored and sidetracked so easily. I have a set of fabric boxes( sm, med & lg) which zip closed and with metal shape holders. The small is my most wanting to finish soonest! And moving larger from there. (Also a tub with projects not yet being worked but yarns and patterns at the ready! I’m currently making fitted arm chair covers and head rest cover to match my husband’s new (bought this year)recliner. I’m sitting in my lounge chair on my porch with my phone propped on my side table. My ear buds are plugged in, and I crochet away! Don’t change! Please keep it like it is. I love you just as you are! You don’t need all that fluff and stuff!

Hi Juan, I am fried I stayed up all night after Russ's show crocheting. I guess I had too much coffee you guys were so funny :) I'm not sure if I will last long enough to make it to zoom today. I stayed up all night Friday night too, so I was tired Saturday. I've made a lot of progress, but I just want to get some sleep. LOL, I finished my wip for today. I have an Afghan blanket that I started in about 1991 or so. I couldn’t get back to crocheting as I had other issues to deal with. Vent age yarn I would guess Red Heart. I started it again recently trying to remember which chevron pattern it was and finally figured it out. Beautiful fall colors but I would rather do other projects. The changing yarn and hiding them I find tedious they take a lot of time. Not sure if I will get it finished. Browns Yellow and Orange’s. The yarn is still beautiful. I had to share this. You are doing great with all the projects you have for sure!

No need for intro and outro, Juan - a lot of people will just skip over them and you want everyone to watch from start to finish. Try Les Garçons for a knitting channel - they're adorable. Max the knitter (one half of the Max-Vincent Les Garçons duo) is a great artist - his enamel stitch markers and pins feature his ultra-cute animal characters - I want to collect them all). Maybe next time you are in Montreal you can check out their new yarn store! I love crocheting along with you, amazed you can talk so long. Works for me - I am very quiet by nature, so a better listener than a talker. Today I was working on a new WIP by a new-to-me KZbinr, HanJan Crochet (she seems to be British but I have not yet explored her channel info). It's the Mystical tee - it works up all in hdc, but alternating between back loop, front loop and 3rd loop so you get this amazing texture. Helps that it uses my favourite stitch throughout. I am doing 2.5" stripes in the KnitPicks Swish worsted in your anathematic pink shades (they sell a pack of 4 shades, the deepest is a gorgeous burgundy called hollyberry). Anyway, unlike your WIPn it with Juan videos, this comment is too long! Love you bro!

I have a few projects in different crafts on the go now. This is to make sure I use different muscles in arms and hands, as I have rheumatoid arthritis. Doing this means I don’t overstrain. So I knit, crochet, and spin fibre into yarn and also do some art.

As to your question of WIPS, I dint have a problem with them because I’m bi-polar and I could be working on something and something else I want to do pops into my head so I have to at least start that or get the necessary supplies to work on them. There is one in particular that I am determined to do and it is of my own making. I just hadn’t decided in the stitch or design I wanted to use for the parts. Today I found you and your way of doing the solid granny and that’s now my choice. Doing a small mock up to make sure what’s in my mind will work Monday paper.

I know what you mean about no support or acceptance. My bestie as a kid couldn't even tell his family because of all their judgmental comments about people. It was heartbreaking but he had me and my family loving him unconditionally, supporting him. His mom and brother knew before he passed away. They accepted him but lost so much time and memories. I think of him everyday carry his picture on my phone. The song GOODBYE by Kenny Roger's is my song to him ❤😢❤

I vary my crafting projects by including both knitting and crochet. I chalk this need to work with yarn to my dna which includes a relative who brought a sock knitting machine to the states from England. Now I have three projects going because after all "squirrel". I have an attention span that waxes and wanes. Your right! A project cleanup is beneficial and clears the way for a new moon year which arrives during your birthday month!

I've been watching your channel for about a week now and subbied today. I've got 6 wips running right now 3 knit, 2 crochet and one knit and crochet. The knit and crochet one I worked on during this episode hand knitting icord then crocheting that into a bath mat for in front of my bathroom sink. I have one blanket WIP and right now I'm putting the finishing touches on a Narwhal amigurumi. The pattern for the Narwhal comes from a book that I checked out from the library, "Cute & Cuddly Crochet" by Lauren Bergstrom. Nice visit with you this morning.

I like to keep my WIPS in bags thats my method but the most ive ever had is 6. Currently i have a summer top, a C2C, the spring things Cal, and a bum bag. Plus i always have a scrap blanket going for all my little bits. Variety is the spice of life and i live being able to switch around.

Today I am not crocheting, but sewing my crocheted panels together for a dress I am making. If I finish the seam in time I have a WIP to work on, so not hurry or worry. I'm working on a blanket using #3 Premier Basix and gong up a half hook size. I've wanted to try this for a while. So I interrupted 2 blanket projects, and I love how it's turning out. I never used to have WIPS, but now I have several. In the past, I always had my pattern, bought my materials, and finished the project. But now... I have a stash. 😅

Hi Juan! I have 4 WIPs and a Temperature Blanket. I always have at least one project which is perfect to take with me everywhere. One WIP is a birthday present which has to be finished in December. I try to reach to every project everyday and make at least 1 row. All planed future projects get noted in a Filofax where I also write down currend projects to remember the needle size and other things to get back on track when a project went to UFO-Mode🥴

Yes, I'm working on a WIP and have a bunch of half done blankets but going to get them done this year. I am trying to get my mother's blanket done. I just found out my sister is in stage four liver failure so I have to start her blanket next. I would like to also make her a shawl too.I have a lot of projects this year.
