Do you have a video how to hook up a 3 wire thermostat to the hydrostat and how to set the hi and low for a oil fire burner. Thanks

Why would the economy knob need to be shut off ? I thought that has to do with how many heating zones you have no matter if it’s a oil or a gas boiler??

Is it possible to use a WiFi thermostat with these systems?

Separate wire(s) would need to be run from an external transformer / 24VAC power source. And would connect it between 'C' and 'Rc'. Be sure to remove any existing jumper between Rh & Rc. You don't want to bridge multiple AC power sources. A 1A or 2A MAX fuse should also be used for external power supply.

The old Aquastat always are set 180 High & 160 Low with Diff to off/10. All this new tech & is garbage.

3 plastic inferior relays compared to Honeywell Aquastat along with a transformer resistor & cermanic cap with some inferior potentiometers. Making stuff to break. Honeywell Aquastat lasted 40 50 years without changing them.

@@TheCleaner6969 The 24V isn't even fused. One little mishap and entire controller is bricked. Because why add a 10¢ safety device to the production cost when they can charge hundreds for a complete new controller. If I had to use one of these I'd cut the trace off the transformer and solder one in.

@@SerenoOunce That's a great idea. All these furnace guys/companies are use to the old way of ripping people off. I didn't have time to install this & the guy I hired to put it in gave me a line of BS saying you didn't have no grounds connected & it wouldn't work. Tried charging me more. I opened the sub panel up & said really? It's still not grounded to the box but through the copper pipes so how's it working?
