If you're going for the low rider look, most common tire size used with that size wheel is a 175/70/14. If that's not the look you're going for, call me and I will give you more size options

Hey Lamar, By OTD--what are you referring to? If you mean off the rack wire wheels (sometimes referred to as "China's" as that's where they're made), the difference is Daytons are custom built in the United States. American built wheels (like Daytons) use different metals, Daytons are stainless steel, while chinas are regular steel; which means Chinas are more prone to rust. @@YahwayorNoway Ah, thank s for clarifying. Last time we spoke with Dayton we were told they no longer make the bigger size wire wheel hub that they once made (for larger vehicles, like an Escalade). The one ton Dayton wheels have a different number of spokes and are designed for heavier weight vehicles. I don't have a OTD wheel here so I can compare the size of the hub.

@b boy luda A standard offset wheel has the mounting pad in the center of the wheel. A reverse mount has the mounting pad at the rear (inside) of the wheel, and therefore has a bigger lip. Most lowriders have reversed offset

Are the adaptors typically hubcentric? I've seen a few videos of folks installing and the adaptors always have some play to them. Curious if its a matter of them not sourcing the right size or they simply come in a one size fits all config. Appreciate any feedback ya'll can give. Cheers!

I have some chrome and gold 22 inch real Daytons i bought years ago form my cuz to slap on my 1996 ford f150 problem is that the adapter is 6 lugs and mine are 5 lug i have some 20 inch wires on it but my adapter is not wide enough to fit the dayton wheels. Think i could get adapter that same diameter to fit the wheel and my 5lug?

Appreciate the video! Curious to know why wire wheels offsets are standard/reverse when other wheels actually have +/- number offsets(ex. et35 etc etc). I would say that is the style of wheel. I've looked all over for the actual offsets of reverse wire wheel for fitment purposes. Do you have this information? 18x8 reverse in particular. Thanks!

Probably a dumb question . So a Dayton is only determined by the cap ?! Are zeniths original daytons ? Or two complete things , , I’m confused and how long before gold fades and how much to repaint ? Looking to purchase but I’ve seen people selling fakes

@The Truth: Great questions. Dayton and Zenith are both wire wheel manufacturers. Zenith is no longer in business--so only replicas are made also referred to as "Chinas". Dayton still manufacturers American Made stainless steel wire wheels with American Chrome. You will pay fo9r Dayton quality. All gold plated wheels are electroplated. If you electroplate on stainless steel spokes (as in a Dayton), rusting is minimal, and therefore the gold may last longer. Call us for more info!

Dayton wire wheels will have a build or serial number to identify them. But most spokes out on the road are not Daytons. Bring em by, if we see them, we can usually tell

If you drive s l o w, they can handle any power. If you stomp on it, you could rip the spokes away from the hub and or the barrel. Imagine a spoked bicycle wheel, now imagine what would happen if you apply 500HP all at once--wire wheels are similarly constructed

Certain adaptors are certain colors. Most generic adaptors are red and white. Daytons adaptors are all stainless steel
