Hi Guys! In this tutorial I want to show you how to create this weave-less wire amulet. I will show you how to prepare the frame, set it up it to hold the stone, add wires and components, set the focal and accents stones as well as how to finish off your creation. Hope you enjoy making it and as always would love to hear your opinion! Happy wrapping! 😊
'Fantasia' came to be through a bout of nostalgia. 'The never ending story' was my inspiration for this piece.

I've heard that the silicone buffers also work well in a rotary tool.

Absolutely gorgeous! Would definitely attempt to make but for the fact that 14 ga wire is difficult for me to work with because of my arthritic hands. ❤❤❤ your designs!
@heathernichol378

You could anneal the wire to soften it. You can use a culinary torch or propane stove. Just be sure to use pliers,and a pan of water to quench your metal. Be safe 😊

Yes, frame work with a heavy gauge can be hard on the hands! If you have a creme brulee torch, you could anneal the wire first before working with it. It will be hardened again with manipulation and the hammering will also stiffen it up again. x

😅another beautiful piece! Do you use round or square wire for the frame?
@ImbaliCrafts
@ImbaliCrafts 11 ай бұрын
You can use either, but I think I have used square for ti's one. Square is better because any bracing wires have more to grip on with the corners. 😊

Question: how long do you wrap the bail wires to create a bail?
@ImbaliCrafts
@ImbaliCrafts 11 ай бұрын
That always depends on how long i want the bail to be. I would say around 35 mm but adjust it to what you think would look nice.

Does your hammering technique mark up your hammer? I have learned to polish my hammer after I make a piece but I often worry about ruining the hammer head.
@ImbaliCrafts
@ImbaliCrafts Жыл бұрын
Generally the hammers we use are made of steel and are harder than gold, silver, copper etc... I get marks if I hit the corner of my anvil or steel block or when my son decides to use it to hammer a nail into the wall lol. They are easily polished smooth again though. I periodically sand them down with a sanding bit and sand paper.

Question: Doesn't this copper turn black when worn? Like within a week?
@ImbaliCrafts
@ImbaliCrafts Жыл бұрын
Yes, bare copper will oxidise over time. This is one of the unfortunate draw backs of using it instead of silver. You can polish it but it will darken again unless you protect it with laquer or Renaissance wax

Hello their imbali crafts your work is so breathtaking...i have a question if u could please help me with i have TWO SEPERATE 5 base wire weave I would like to join\connect them together one on top of the Other. Is that possible???
@ImbaliCrafts
@ImbaliCrafts Жыл бұрын
Hi there, not sure exactly what you are asking, but if if mean that you want to add in components already made, that is absolutely possible. Just place the components where you want to add them in, and use the wire ends to attach them to the frame :)
