Loved the video, but I am confused. At the end, you were wrapping the bail with the half round wire and had two sets of three wires on each side. Suddenly they were gone in the next shot (25:20) as you finished up the piece. How did you finish those side wires? I really would like to try this technique. Thanks for sharing!!!

Wow, what an excellent video!!! You make it so easy to follow your instructions - the mark of a great teacher. How could I modify this for a facetted square stone? I have a fancy facetted amethyst with a fairly deep pavilion and can't wait figure out how to wrap it to make the most of the incredible faceting. Thanks again for sharing your passion!

Have you a tutorial using a small square Cabochon and an accent cabochon in a different shape or an accent “bead or pendant stone” that dangles for movement in the pendant? I have a turquoise square Cabochon (well a set of 5 - 2 ovals a square and 2 narrow ovals), I thought I’d use the square for the pendant but wanted to add a accent of dark red maybe ruby or garnet crystal. I just can’t figure out how! My first thought was a biconeor drop bead or maybe pear shaped pendant crystal or a teardrop crystal cabochon to dangle below to add movement, or combine the square turquoise with just a crystal bead above , or somehow combine 2 cabochons the turquoise below and something above in a different shape. I just can’t figure out how to achieve this, so the cabochons have sat sealed in a box for a year or so now. Tried to fathom a way to combine them with a ruby/garnet to make a 3 stone pendant but can’t figure out how to connect it all! They are small the “square” is only 10.6mm x 14mm, the 2 “fat” ovals are 11mm x 18mm and the 2 “skinny” ovals are 10.2mm x 17mm. They larger ovals are gorgeous but I couldn’t figure how combine them both with an accent colour in the middle to make a single pendant! Have you any tutorials combining smaller cabochons with accent crystals? 😊😊😊

@ thank you so so much I appreciate the input!! Getting to grips with wire! Sometimes under it others it takes a few tutorials before I’ll even try. I never think I’ve done things good enough but I was so pleased with a my first ever tree of life and off the cuff wire wrap for me that’s a big step lol. I’ll check out that tutorial and the toner you suggest - once I’ve got the glasses on to read it properly 🤓🤓 terrible when your eyes need more than your glasses can give!!!! 🙄😵😂😂

Your nails must be healthy n strong. I bought done craft wire to practice with and my thumb nails are split. That turned out beautifully

You could use a rotary tool with buffing/polishing attachments

I am new to this…have been practicing on cheaper wire…it’s flimsy even at larger gauges…is parawire better? It’s more expensive….but will it make learning better?

Yea. I like parawire. I have some coated wire and bare copper wire from them 👍🏻

At the end you had wires going out - not the vale but on both sides sof it -- and you didn't describe what you did with them. i imagine you cut them off and tucked them in. i'd like to have seen that process too.
