WIRE WRAPPING TUTORIAL - Wire Wrap Heart Pendant

In this tutorial, you will create a shaped and hammered pendant frame for two stones. You will add decorative wire 'pressure pins' onto the frame while locking in your stones. This is a very basic tutorial, showing the step-by-step process to create this style of wire wrap. You can add more decorative wires as you create and style your own Sacred Heart Pendant. This is a great tutorial for learning the basics of beginning symmetry in wirework. Certainly, wraps get more complicated and much more precise but this is a wonderful, stress-free wrap to get you started. It's a beautiful pendant pattern for all skill levels. I just re-watched this and want to compliment you on the excellent tips you give such as leaving approx 3mm space around the stone and the base wire and also how to bend the supporting wires around the frame the best way and not tightening the bend too much. These are things that I've found myself struggling with and I know your tips will come in handy not only on this piece but on many of the pieces I make! 💙

Yes I like the way you wrap your Pendants! 10 years ago I would hammer the sides flat to the stone and go from there. If you take a peak at Joy's Jewelry by Darlene you will see the first necklace n earrings.

Thank you so much❤ mine fall down when i was workin on it! It did move the frame wires to a hole other side.. 😢it was almost a lost cost. But i could make some adjustmenst and at some decorative wires and it turnd out beautyful 😊 i used amethist heart and a rozeqwarts cabochon. The cabochon had too be switched with a rozeqwarts bead because of the falling down but who would know😂 thanks so much❤❤❤

I used this tutorial today to create a pendant using a smokey quartz heart and a glass pearl bead. I added some extra embellishment to the one side so that it has a little of my own touch to it. Hi Jacqulyn! Here is a link to a local mineral shop where I teach (or did before Covid and hope to again soon)... they sell all the wire in my tutorials... they sell this heart stone too. You can order material kit 101 which has the square wire and the half round wire. Do you think this could be done with 20 gauge square wire? i have a much smaller heart stone and would like to use smaller wire to balance out the amount of wire and stone in my piece.

Without a doubt, if the stone(s) are a smaller, then 20g should work great. It's a bit small if you're using the same size stones I list in the tutorial. Go for it! :)
