He was dating an artist at the time. I forget who broke up with who. He has admitted many times that one of his exes really hates him. And he has admitted that he was the best person. He had been dating Lynn Shelton and at least when covid started they had been living together It seems that this was going rather well but she fell ill and passed away. It happened pretty fast. I believe she had some sort of cancer. The strange thing is a week before they had done an interview which was on line I am not sure if there what the chances were of surviving. Even so it was pretty devestating to Maron. I don't think it is still up but he did talk about it on an instagram live.

If these are real questions, they get asked because "back in the day", before he became a Big Freakin' Deal, Maron was always really accessible to ordinary people. He'd hang out after his comedy gigs looking for people to go out with. He'd plug small blogs on his Air America Radio morning show. That accessibility brought him a very loyal fan base (=raises hand=) that continues to this day. Us old-timers are thrilled that this very funny man has finally found the success that he deserves.
