That bladed treble was a winner, it definitely sealed the deal

Prolly one of my favourite guys on this channel to watch. Just cause he’s usually northern so kinda same up in Ontario Canada and hes pretty specific in everything he tells you. 🤙🏻👌🏻

Thanks for tuning in Brandon. There are definitely some similarities between Ontario and northern MN!

Very helpful Intel in the first 5 mins re: current conditions. Lake drawdown last yr exposed over 24 lipless crankbaits for refurbishment by me; cleaned them up, replaced hardware, paint touch up if necessary, and a mod one a few for something different. It is now Summer (July) 2023 and the lake is rising so grass patches will just like in this video soon.

I use the bladed hook in the back? Should I switch the bladed hook to front hook?
@LiveBassFishing Жыл бұрын
@@jamie.777 I would personally play with it and see what works best. If you are going to use a bigger hook I would go to the belly for sure.

How do you feel about the one tap vs bbs
@Wired2Fish2 жыл бұрын
I've personally had better success with bbs when using lipless crankbaits. I'm not sure why, but the northern bass I chase seem less receptive to the single knockers. Thanks for watching.

Will a bigger lip less catch bigger fish?
@chrissalvemini49272 жыл бұрын
I usually go by the rule of, "match the hatch". Try to match your lure(s) the size of the bait fish in the water you're fishing. I've seen big fish smash smaller baits as well as smaller fish hit larger baits. Although everyone has their own theories & opinions on the subject.
@Thierrydaoust16072 жыл бұрын
Well bigger baitfish are eaten big bigger bass, but bigger bass don't necessarily eat bigger baitfish.
@risa13132 жыл бұрын
Rule of thumb is that bigger baits draw bigger fish... I've had smaller fish eat the big swimbaits but IMO and experience, the bigger bait will catch the bigger fish. It all depends on whether your bait entices them to eat and the cadence your using todraw them in.. lots of variables involved in this.

Hi Juan, some good comments below. While there are no hard and fast rules, bigger baits are a consistent way to target a bigger class of fish of any given species. A few of us from W2F just returned from Reindeer Lake in northern Saskatchewan and caught some big pike and lake trout using the biggest Rat-L-Trap. I believe the 1-1/2 Super Trap. It did the trick!

We're past peak leaves where this was filmed. We try publishing content just before or when the bite is happening. It's a big country, so we're not always spot-on depending on what state a person lives.
