Lets split an Early Ford Wishbone! This one will be on a 1930 Model A Ford, traditional Hot Rod Style

Thanks for sharing, Zac! Over the years I'd noticed wishbone modifications on hot rods, but I'd never really considered why the modified rear mount of the now split wishbone would not be the same amount of drop from the frame rail on all applications! Now I get it! Enjoy your weekend! Be safe!

Great explanation. I'm about a 59A flathead, with S10 t5 in a 30' Model A. I'm going to be using a 4" drop axles and this helps clear up some questions regarding the pie cuts.

Awesome video. I'm building a tbucket and was just gifted an axle like yours with the wishbone. I want to keep it all ford and use as many old parts and techniques as possible. As if it was built in the 50s. Anyway thanks for the info, definitely subscribing to learn more.

I hope you realize that when you run a split wishbone of that configuration your torquing your front axle in turns. You basically turned your axle into an anti-sway bar. Hope that 100 year old metal doesn't fail.
