More keyboard colors are available by holding down Fn and simultaneously scrolling across the keyboard from left to right. Purple is pleasant and easier on the eyes.

For Firestick users: Home button on my Rii i8+ is the italic/weird "e" button underneath the "home" button, at the right of the touch pad. And the "options" (3 lines on Firestick Remote) is carried out on the Rii with Ctrl+Esc. Hope that helps someone :)

Don't know if anyone has mentioned this yet but I have a similar unnamed keyboard, connected to my 4K fire stick with the dongle and adapter and found I couldn't use the back button. I tried delete, back, using Fn, Alt, everything! Then I found Esc worked as the back button. I still cannot get the volume to work, but as another person showed, if you have your light on, hold Fn and slide your finger along the bottom of the mouse pad..... Pretty! Of you leave it on a colour, the keyboard will light up that unusual shade. Or if you just want to cycle through the colour spectrum, with the light on press F2!

So I have the same remote/keyboard and adapter as well have tried it multiple times on my amazon fire TV stick 2nd gen and it will not work. I'm at a loss please help. I have the dongle in the adapter and the micro usb plugged into the usb port on TV and to the adapter and the adapter to the firestick and it comes on the TV but the remote is unresponsive. All the lights work on the remote but it won't control the firestick

the flash no these run off a battery pack that is charged using the micro sd charger like the one that powers on your firestick or android phones. The OTG adapter ($5?) works perfect to use on other android devices, it will NOT work on an iPad. I had a Nexus Tablet and the OTG adapter allowed me to use the charging port as a port to download onto a flash drive. You’ll first need to pay and download the program which costs around $10 onto your device which will then allow your devices charge port to be turned into a downloadable port to a flash drive. Love it! Too bad my Nexus tablet died.

I just brought one a mini keyboard, and the reason I brought was to use when I'm in the Downloader app. I just watched you video and I still can get my mini keyboard to change colors or the back button to work, hopefully you can help me out with some information. The model I brought doesn't use the type of battery I saw in the one you used. This one takes 2 aaa batteries. And it's a tv x media mini keyboard model mk 190 for TV x stream

Everything works okay with firestick, **except fast forward / back in youtube app**, for that its a 2 step process where you need to manually select the seekbar, and then skip using direction keys, with the official firestick remote its just one step using the skip keys.

If you power your Firestick from the tv's USB port, as you suggest, the Firestick will have to boot up everytime you turn on the TV since it is switched.

sblakeification that’s correct. I’ve seen plenty of devices left on without putting them to sleep which caused the device to burn out. Personally I’ve had it connected to the tv as mentioned for couple yrs now without issues.

I have this for my fire tv. Works great except, I havent found a button that works for the Fire TV remote menu button. You lose functionality if you cant press the menu button that is on the fire tv remote.

Chris Bowe yeah I agree I haven’t been able to access the menu on Amazon side on this one either. I ordered some different keyboards I should be getting in next week that have an actual menu button so I’ll be uploading a video on that one as well. I like this one for my Amazon box personally (I don’t use it for amazon service/ content ) works great within kodi and other apps since the right click is the context menu button in those apps.

HI, I have a Bluetooth QWERTY keyboard which I have paired with the Amazon Fire Stick Lite. The problem is, the Fire Stick displays a box of A - Z alphabet letters and numbers. I would prefer to operate all typing etc with only the QWERTY keyboard, just like with a PC. Are there any internal settings which would allow me to switch the 'letters box' off altogether, please? avery kishore if you’re referring to the original fire tv box the answer is yes. I looked up the gaming edition one and it looks exactly like the one I personally use 1st gen Fire tv. U would connect the keyboard usb dongle to the USB port on your Fire tv and then u MUST turn off the usb debugging setting for the keyboard to respond. frank j Sanchez if you are looking for a keyboard I would buy the h9 . I have another video with that keyboard. This one doesn’t have a context menu button function that works with amazon devices to pull up menus ect. The battery on both keyboards are really good I charge mine probably once every 2 weeks or so but I use mine on my Pc as well. I have my tv around 10ft away but I’ve used it at about 15-20ft in my garage as a demo for Ppl.

Plus I have a question for you, what VPN are you using? I'm considering getting Express VPN for my router that way whatever I connect to my router through wifi it'll be protected. Instead of just connecting three individual devices which is their limit if you're not using their router option. Also how do you charge the H9 I didn't see a charging port.

frank j Sanchez actually on the h9 keyboard it does not have the play/pause button but when u touch Your the mouse pad (double tap) it pauses the movie and brings up other option so that takes its place. I don’t use a vpn only thing I use the ad blocker I have in the Canelo vs GGG video. It serves as a vpn and blocks incoming connections from amazon so if u use it and leave it on it blocks apps from being found on amazon. It also blocks incoming feeds for mega box and if u turn it off everything is normal. It only effects mega Box apk I’ve been meaning to make a video just haven’t had time. I also turn on the ad blocker to watch my sports and Pay per view events.

Sameer Vedula the hdmi port will only give the device signal. The power supply the Firestick or Firetv comes with can be connoted to the tv if it has a USB port for power. That USB port is sufficient to power the devices.

@@pinchehulk3521 Generic brand Android tv box is trash, no quality, no durability, laggy, Netflix only 540p. They are great on paper but no quality at all, actually i own Tanix tx6 32gb 4gb ram, it's ok with usb 3.0, but for the performance and fluiidity, the Firestick 4k will throw it out of the water. Btw i bought a new branded usb otg and 4 port Ugreen Micro Usb Hub for Firestick and it works great, no more slowness of my thumb drive, i can watch 4k content even on my 1tb portable hard drive. If I'm going to replace my Firestick, i prefer to buy the great Nvidia Shield. My sister bought one last November during Black Friday sale, she bought it for $159 if im not mistaken with game controller in the package.

MrEer218 I haven’t figured out how to make it power off but I’ve noticed that if I accidentally push a button my Firetv turns on and causes my tv to turn on. I just received some new keyboards so hoping to post a new video on that this weekend. Hi, I found my mini keyboard which I bought a couple of years ago, I put it on my TV it's very much the same as your mini pad but it does not light up like yours does, mine does everything even use the mouse on the fire stick home screen, but what I cannot get it to do is search in the movies section etc: I have the receiver plugged straight into my TV at the back, is this why I cannot use the keypad to search, do I have to purchase the cable to connect it via the fire stick ? Star Light some addons require you to enable settings for keyboards what addon are you using? if you’re interested in using apks they are way more stable than kodi addons and work faster. U can find a url link to download them onto your device in my video with the insignia fire tv edition tv.

Diamcutt Cutt it works on the cube just turn the settings off and then back on then unplug the cube from power and when it reboots it should work. I’ve had that problem in the past that’s how I resolved it.

@@sur.geek333 OK I did but thanks I even tried my other two wireless keyboards sane brands different models neither work but works great on the sticks OK got to add to this note so I had the Ethernet adapter that came with the cube connected to the back of the cube and then pulled my usb dongle cord to that and the keyboard didn't work so then I thought just pull it in directly keyboard works perfect so thanks one last question do you think the reason it did not work because I didn't have the Ethernet pulled into it as well?

Hi Maria, On this model the back light only stays on for about 10 seconds after a key is pressed then it turns off. It also turns off the keyboard after inactivity for about 5 min I believe to conserve the battery. Since I’ve had it I still haven’t had to recharge it once which is pretty good. If you’re looking for one that you can adjust how long the backlit stays in I’m sure you could find one. I actually just ordered another keyboard so I’ll be making a video on that one as well. djw1969danny hey on the Firestick you won’t have a usb debugging because it doesn’t have a USB port. You will only see that setting on the first generation Fire tv. Are you trying to connect this keyboard to a Firestick? If so you will need the OTG cable to make it work on the new Firestick (not compatible with 1st gen Firestick) and Fire tv

I got the cable in the mail yeterday, paid $8.99, sux, but I got tire of looking for that specific cable, I plugged it all up, and seems the proble3m is I had three of those dongles, 2 others for game controllers and apparently you have to use the exact one for the mouse/keyboard, I got it to work but have to oredr another keyboard because I also have the android box I beenn using the other one on...thanks for a quick response though and the advice, good man

I have my keyboard hooked up. Everything is hooked up correctly. My keyboard has connection to the dongle, I know because the blue light is on. I am using the amazon firestick. When I go into developer options I don't have the option for usb debugging, only adb. What am I doing wrong?

Andrew Jeffrey pretty sure cus I have some apps installed where I have to use the scrolling on keyboard. U can just use the mouse and click on whatever u want. U can also download the mouse toggle onto your Firestick that u can use if u don’t already have that.

Just to make sure tho if Your Firestick has a stamp on it of 700 it’s Deff the first generation. However since your keyboard is Bluetooth u might be able to make it work. I’m at work at the moment but when I get home I’ll look at the settings and let u know what u can try to see if it works for you.

Are you using the OTG. Cable adapter ? If so make sure that the usb debugging option is on that way it sees that the otg cable and wireless keyboard usb is connected . U can also buy the H9 mini keyboard that one works better. I have a video showing that one as well in my videos . If you need help let me know .

hello it turns out that my remote control is broken. I was using the fire stick 2nd gen with the control of the tv, through the hdmi. All ok. Until today the fire tv stick was running slowly and I decided to return to factory settings .......... when booting, the first thing ask is to pair with the bluetooh remote control (which is broken) .. .. and I can't get out of there, he waits for the remote control. Obviously, when returning to factory settings, I do not have the Amazon account associated ... as well as the Wi-Fi network ..... A disaster. Can you please tell me if i can bypass that moment with this kind of conection that you do?? Thanks. (i dont speak english, hope this is understood).

Mark Ladnier hey man I read something awhile back that you can try using . Idk if it works but it’s worth a try. Hold the following keys till it blinks FN and Spacebar Or FN and F1 and blue lights flash and from what I heard it’s the way to pair. I’d turn off the keyboard and turn it back on before u press those keys tho.

You can try turning on and off the usb debug option (if available) there’s been times where I would have to disconnect everything turn the tv off and turn it back on then reconnect everything and it worked. There’s also a pairing button on the keyboard as well.

I do not have the USB debugging option. But I was able to get it connected, not sure how I did it. I restarted the Fire Stick, along with unplugging and plugging all cable back into the Fire Stick , and it magically started to work after two days of trying to get it to work. TG. Danl Hall it’s not Bluetooth it connect via transmitter but if you plan on using it for Firestick 2nd gen or Fire tv new gen u will need the adapter. First gen Firestick isn’t compatible but 1st gen Fire tv , android boxes PCs, etc it’s compatible with. U can still use your Firestick remote and this keyboard at the same time.

Cory Brown yeah man all u need is the otg cable. I have a link in the description it doesn’t matter what brand the ones I bought I bought in bulk from China. Long as the wireless keyboard isn’t Bluetooth the cable will work for multiple keyboards. I stuck with the H9 they work well on amazon devices (except 1 generations Firestick)

No the developer option needs to be turned on . You can also download the fire tv remote app to control your device but the device would need to be registered to your account to use it. Or u can buy a used remote and hold the home button to pair it with your device.

@@its_aam1r try downloading the app on your phone first then it will ask you for the email and password to your device once you log in it will see your device and you will be able to use it. If you are wanting to use a keyboard like the one in this video look for H9 mini keyboard it’s better than the one on this video. I posted a diff video for that one couple years ago . Yes it does you have to turn on the usb debugging option. If your on a newer version you may not see the usb debug option but click on your device name 7 times under the “about” in settings you will get a developer option pop up then click back arrow go back to the usb debug option and turn it on.

Stu Jobling if it doesn’t work with the cable more than likely u haven’t turned off the usb debugging to allow it to give it power to the usb transmitter u connect to the otg cable. The old firesticks with Stamp 700 u can’t use it period. Fire tv 1st gen (big square box) u connect to the USB port then turn off usb debug and every other Firestick and Fire tv u must turn off the usb debugging to make it work.
