A great explanation of what looks like an absolutely fantastic system, I think only the European trucks operating here in NZ would have onboard weighing equipment and not even all of them. As you said with carting bulk material such as stone or earth it is very important to know your weight accurately to avoid overloading and the resulting fines if caught out, hopefully it will become available for more makes of trucks in the future ❤️❤️👍👍

The only issue I can see is knowing that it's calibrated correctly. Remember that you can get an overload on any one of a steering, drive or lift/tag axle without the truck actually being over its tare weight.

Hmmm... interesting idea. I wonder if the system comes with pressure sensors to install on the axles, to sense the weight? Anyway, would be great if they also start offering it here in the US.

I noticed American trucks have this type of system built into the dash, are there no European trucks doing this ? But going off topic, you are turning into a human art masterpiece, your tattoo's are amazing, when are you doing a video about them ? You're the best Cassie !! XX

We've had that for a long time. I would guess that the numbers the unit shows comes from the truck, the same info you can pull up on the dash. Looks like it connects via can-bus. Thing is this one is remote so you can see it when loading just as she shows us.

That system integrates with Scania because Scania trucks have an electronic scale system already built-in with a dash read out, this gadget just makes it portable. I guess they'll make them compatible with other makes later, gotta start somewhere right.

I drive a IVECO from 2016 in Holland and the axel weight can I see on my dashbord display.. Scania don’t have that?

DAF has a simular system and I suppose Scania also has that. The disavantage is you have to always be in the cabin to see the actual weight. The bulk company I momentarely work for has a battery operated wireless system related to the air suspension pressure so you can constantly see the weight during loading or unloading even outside the truck. As a backup my truck and trailer have pressure gauges so I can check the "weight" manually if needed.
