Very helpful video. Made my old D-Link DIR-600 as a wireless repeater. The sad part is it works only on 2.4Ghz and not on 5Ghz :( The good part is I'm using the old router(repeater now) as a wired LAN connection.

Dude, i never comment on any video but i came here all the long way from incognito mode from pc to youtube in phone, searched ur channel and now here i am Thanking You for the catch i was looking for since a longg time. Although, in my tp link router (Model no. TL-WR841N / TL-WR841D) there was no system parameters option so i got lil upset but i had a gut feeling that if you are saying it is there for tp link routers, it has to be there somewhere.. So, i found it inside Wireless Settings -> 3 checkboxes are there -> Select Enable WDS bridging and then follow the same steps mentioned in video. Anddd, bamm!! You are now connected to ur other router with internet! 😁 Thank you so much man!! 👊🙌 Request u to pin this comment to help others who must be facing same issues if the router is same as mine.

Get best speed on lan/regular wifi or Ascesspoint/repeater by- 1)check lan speed, if it says 100 mbps on cat5e or higher cable then the connection has become loose. 2) Buy a new lan cable or buy a crimper tool on amazon and reconnect RJ45 plugs, i got 1000mbps lan speed, previously 100mbps (it worked for me). 3)if ur using secondary router use settings of Access point, dont plug and play you will get network interference and less speed. 4) On WIFI name 2.4 and 5g channels separately , my new laptop gave low speed (good speed on mobile). if a common name was given to router for both the bands you can get low speed on laptop even if it supports 5ghz. happy surfing!

Bhai you are Genius. I did and it worked me for last 1 year. But yesterday my mother suddenly switched off the host airtel router and then after the 2nd router not working till now, which was wirelessly connected.. I did the same process, but after connecting '!' sign is coming. I just failed to make it for now. I reset my TPLink router but it is not working anymore. Any new tricks i need to check here? Quick question 1. Now with TP link, if I connect Laptop with it using LAN, will internet work? Technically I think it will as it is working over wifi. Please confirm 2. I have Dual band modem provided by ISP. Do I need to set WDS of 2.4 and 5Ghz separately in TpLink router? 3. After setting it up using WDS either on 2.4 or 5Ghz, Are we going to experience less speed than actual ONT.
