They're hardly Coldplay copycats, personally I think theyre 149549x better than Coldplay. But that's a personal preference. Going to see them live tonight, can't wait :)

oh and Coldplay formed in 1997 and Athlete formed in 1999 and Athlete sound different to coldplay so they are no copycats here :)
