Thank you so much as always. Yes, I guess it is. I hadn't even thought of that, but it has a bit of that feel with the loops probably, making it a bit flowery 😄

I made some like these a year ago with a wire jig just playing around with it after I bought it. Great idea!

Thank you very much Dawn. Yes, I could see a jig being good for these as well 😃

Beautiful !!! Years ago I use to work with a jig called a wig jig... it forms wire into all kinds of shaps you want and I made links very similar to this using it and they all came out exactly the same ...you shape the wire around pegs and then you will have your link... loved making jewelry with it !!!!

Lovely design! Looks like one of those things that would get done much more efficiently with a custom jig (forgive me if you mentioned this, I haven’t had the chance to watch the whole thing). I suppose you could get some 1/4” board and various small nails to make this pattern quickly - especially if you plan on making a lot.

Thank you. Yes, you could absolutely make the links with a jig of some sort. It really just depends what you feel most comfortable with. I personally don't have a jig like that, and am really comfortable working with the bail making pliers, so that's what works best for me. But it's definitely a good tip 😉

Thank you so much for the links you've shared. Could I ask you for a link to where you get your wire. I have trouble finding good wire on spools rather than just rolled in a ring. I have learned so much from your tutorials. They are the very easy to follow, and my pieces come out beautiful.

I do have a question ... Can we make kuminio boards at home?? plzzz ans me
@mddell586 жыл бұрын
Parveen Tariq Yes. There are lots of KZbin videos showing how to make them.
@ParchmentCraft6 жыл бұрын
Parveen Tariq Hi - yes you can using heavy-duty cardboard. Templates can be found on line or you could buy a book with templates in - such as Beautiful Braiding Made Easy by Helen Deiighan which also gives step-by-step instructions for a beginner. However, I really wouldn't recommend making the boards because the ones used in the video are cheap to buy and stand up to quite a bit of abuse. If you go to the website that is run along side this channel CSLdesigns - she sells a starter kit which - if you bought all the stuff individually from Amazon would work out more expensive - I know I went the Amazon route. Good luck and I hope this helps. BTY I just subscribe to this channel and have no connection to CSLdesigns - I just a big fan ☺
@CSLdesigns6 жыл бұрын
Hi Parveen. Yes, you can make your own kumihimo board like D Hoosier and Mary Omalley mentions, but personally I don't think it's worth it as the disks are so cheap to buy anyway and last quite a while for different materials. Whereas making your own wouldn't be as durable. But then again if for some reason you can't get hold of one or you just want to try it out to see if you like it, it could maybe be worth making your own 😃
