Lower the resistance the better right? Means more power. So a total resistance of less than 4ohm will be ideal. Please correct me if im wrong thanks.

as i know.. the amplifier are more watts than the speaker ... example . you have a 450 watts speaker it means you choose a amplifier higher than your speaker watts.. exmple 500 watts amplifier..

You're totally right! However Ohms are important to match because they are the the resistants who prevent high current (power) to the speakers, and prevent from blowing the speaker/s and overheating your amp with high voltage flowing. From my research thats my understanding and it makes sense. Lmk if you figured out, or learned another way, I would like to know!

HELP, please!!!!!! I have Pioneer VSX 932 with 7.1 System each 150W 6ohm ! and every channel I connect two of those speakers so in every channel there is double of 150w 6 ohm how is the best way to connect those speakers with each other !??? now when I test it shows me that it's only 2 ohms! and tow of them RL RR they are 3 ohms and the receiver have 6-ohm output how i should connect all of thes things without risk !?

What if we wire the speakers in parallel, but one of the speaker broke? Will it get from 4 to 8 ohms and damages the amp? (Same question goes for the in series connection)

If I were to build two speaker boxes containing two 18 inch 8 ohm speakers each and wired them both in series, they would both be playing at 16 ohms. If I were to then daisy chain them together at the speakon connectors, would they be playing at 8 ohm impedence or 16 ohm impedence?

I have a boss riot 1100 watt amp the amp is rated 1 to 4 ohms and I have two 12" JL audio 12w1v2-4 hooked up for 2 ohms and I want to add one more subwoofer same kind what is the best way to hook it up without hurting the amp.. You got to make it easier to explain. explain a regular amp usually has speaker A and speaker B, show us how to amp a two channel or two zones together and dont forget the wattage!!! so we know what size of speakers we need its ohms and its wattage, and how to wire just 2 rooms together. Simply use a basic amplifier its wattage output and how much ohms it can handle!! simplify it bro, then all of us don´t blow out our amplifier thanks!!

I got 2 JL Audio 12w1v2-8 they're both 8 ohms each 300watts RMS old school Subwoofers. I bought them from a guy I used too know, they've been sitting in my closet collecting dust. I have one 10 inch kicker solo baric round old school single voice coil sub, but the sub is 8ohm. And I have a boss 2 channel 1200 watt amp and it's old school also. Great overview. Coming from an electronics background, it all comes down to impedance matching. The source (amp) must match the load (speakers) if you don't want to damage/overload/underload your system.

i have 2 technics sb-a38 towers they are a 3 way, 4 driver tower. each tower has 1 tweeter 1 mid & two woofers. the woofers are 10 inches and 12 inches. the impedance & wattage are listed on a tag on the back right under the speaker wire connections. both say the same but they say 8ohms @130 watts. now i would like to run both towers to an amp. can someone instruct me on how to get the full effectiveness of each driver in each tower without any complications or distortion

If a 300 watt 8 ohm speaker/cabinet is parallel wired to a separate 300 watt 8 ohm speaker/cabinet (reducing the load to 4 ohms) then hooked up to a 600 watts per channel (@ 4 ohms) amp, how many watts (if run at full power/600 watts) would the amp deliver to 'each speaker' please? (This speaker load would be the same for the second amp channel also = 4 cabinets/2 cabinets per channel)
