Hi Robert,all your videos are a massive help.The Transfer Table videos are perfect from start to finish,have to pay you a compliment. I've recently got myself the same Transfer Table with extension pit (been searching for 2 years for one) and luckily stumbled on your videos and will be putting it together just like you have Kind Regards, Nekta

Great to hear you got a Transfer Table and i hope you have fun with it as well. And i will be putting my transfer Table on my new layout next year but i don't have the room for the extension table, so this will only be half as long cheers Robert

I'm doing it mostly the same way Rob. I had to remove the springs after I had installed the points because some machines had difficulty overcoming the spring tension. I decided to use Cobalts which are super easily to install.
@csxmad5 жыл бұрын
Richard i have never used Cobalts but i imagine they would be just like the Tortoise machine cheers Robert

I always enjoy your builds an tutorials. This one came at the right time too I'm about to start buying turnouts for my layout. I know alot of modelers use the Peco turnouts which I am to. I was wondering what your recommendations would be for electrofrogs or insulfrogs? Thats is what I'm trying to decide. Thankyou.
@csxmad5 жыл бұрын
Jeff i only buy Electrofrogs so my whole turnout is powered, and when you have small switches they will make it across without stopping cheers mate Robert

#5 turnouts on my layout but I'm not getting any power to my layout. I was going to ask can you explain why you put the two black wires on either side of the track. I understand the frog wire . Also I have a bus line so how would I connect two black wires to a red and black bus?
@csxmad3 ай бұрын
Instead of using black wires like i did, you can still do red to red and black to black cheers

You install turnouts the same way I do except I don’t use tortoise switch machines and I don’t modify my switch in any way and there’s usually a lot more cursing and swearing and I end up drilling more holes than needed. Yep, the same way.
@csxmad5 жыл бұрын
Mark i can't believe you install the same as me lol no Tortoise machine, no change the switch, but you did have a problem with swearing and drilling to many holes lol cheers Robert
