Ha. I’ve called a few of the elevators at my school by messing with key switches in that manner. Lol. Always cool to see another wiring video from ya. If I ever end up with some elevator fixtures of my own I’m pretty sure your videos will prove very helpful! Now to just get some fixtures…

Usually keyswitches that are used really frequency like that get worn out.

Interesting, so it's not touch sensitive, but instead actuated via the piezoelectric effect according to the patent. Neat!

Nice. Why is that microswitch there If all you do to activate it is touch it? I’m confused

There isn't a microswitch in the button. It creates an electrical pulse when the button is pushed. There is a version of the buttons that have microswitches, but this is not one of them.

Vancouver Elevators, and More of 2021 that's awesome! I recently rode my first U.S Hydraulic Elevator with ThyssenKrupp-like buttons, 2 Montgomery G&P Hydraulic Elevators, and a Westinghouse Hydraulic (which was my first one ever)
