Classic Update Neutral Safety and Back Up Light Connections

All of our Classic Update kits will accommodate a neutral safety and backup light switch. Each kit is designed to service either a manual or automatic transmission, so the final connection will be up to the installer.

I used the neutral safety switch on the 4l60e for my ls swap & wired it up to my reverse light wire & it worked... now im working on the taillights in my gbody montecarlo

Need help! Just finished installing the American auto wire and having an issue with the reverse lights. They turn on in the neutral position not on reverse position. Any idea what went wrong?

I've looked all over the damb web and nobody or any diagrams can tell me what the extra prongs are for on the netural safety switch? The one I took off of my dads truck looks just like the one in the video but my dads switch has 4 prongs and does not have the prong down in the far lower left corner or the 2 in the far right side of the switch. what are the extra 3 prongs for ????

I don't think those are needed. I have extra prongs on mine too and nothings plugged into them.

I bought the 510008 "Kit" from Brothers Trucks. It is the American Autowire product. NOWHERE IN THE ENTIRE INSTRUCTION PAMPHLET is the words or term "Backup Lights" or "Reverse Lights" listed. THERE IS NO MENTION OF THEM AT ALL. This video is WRONG, and FRAUDULENT. There are NO WIRES MARKED "BACK UP LT SW LIGHTS" as they say in this video.

Any idea where this is located on a '79 lincoln mark v column shifter? Can't find ANY information -- Ford manual doesn't even mention it (though they do for the c3 and C4 transmission) So confused. Can't find a part number anywhere!!

OK so this shows neutral switch for a manual car but does not give any description I guess I will not be hooking up the purple wires to my Muncie four-speed
