I think that this Wirkin situation has gotten so out of control. Whether you are a fan of dupes and replicas or NOT, no one should be insulted and disrespected over. Calling someone poor is rude. My intentions were to save for what you actually want to buy, but at the end of the day it’s a bag. It’s not that serious. The luxury handbag community seems to SOMETIMES forget that we are essentially talking about handbags. Buy what you want because it’s your money. Just do it for YOURSELF ❤❤❤

Hermes has abused its customer base for YEARS now…the only reason to be upset IMO is a need to justify the insane amounts of money taken from them by the company. I’m with you and living in a city where crime has been high, it’s very liberating to own and carry bags I could easily replace were they stolen. I love the bag that was made for you-it is so much more special and just as lovingly made as the bag that is the price of a car.

I love the style & look of the Birkin bag. I think it is stylish & classic. Bags are not made like that anymore. However the price of a Birkin is way out of my budget. I'd have to save a lifetime to buy one. And even then I doubt that I would. If I can get a dupe for around $100.00, and it has the overall look, you bet I'm going to buy it. I couldn't give a damn about what others think. I genuinely like the bag. I don't care what name/brand is or isn't on it. I honestly think the bag is a beautiful design. There are plenty of ugly designer bags that I wouldn't buy the dupes of.

Even the lux brands are duping each other left and right, they all are making bags that look like their competitors, and then the contemporary dupes those, and each other, and then the fast fashion dupes them and each other. and so it goes. The craze of Walmart version is just bc now ppl who are outside the handbag community are seeing dupes. I have a Chanel lambskin square pearl bag and a Chanel handbag but my lambskin square petal bag I have worn 2 times and I am very careful but somehow still has small scratches on the leather and the gold on the clasp. I don’t know what happened but I paid over $3,000 for it a few years ago and I am upset that it already has scratches. No one notices now but I notice the price I paid for it. I’m saving up to buy another *xbagy* bag now that I won’t be paying full price anymore.

I dont agree with buying/supporting replicas but dupes is a different story. bag designs inspired by another bag's success is normal. The more popular or "known" a bag is, the less I want it! I select bags if I like the style, the "feel" of the materials, and the weight. In my old age, I want smaller cross-bodies without hardware or branding. I do have a Gucci I purchased back in 1986 when they were $250 after spending the summer working as a Carhop at a Sonic Drive-In. I bought a Michael Kohr's for about that same price in 2015 (and I never carry it because it weighs too dang much and doesn't have a zipper closure.) I would rather buy a Wal Mart bag than pay an inflated price, just for "status." I mostly carry PLG these days--fit better into my lifestyle/wardrobe (western casual.) Do not understand the controversy AT ALL. People have the right to choose how they allocate their funds, whether earned or gifted.

I used to get compliments on whatever brand purses but I rarely get compliments on my brand new LV bag, I have two guy friends at work and they were the ones to notice my bag and basically gave me a little compliment. But why is that women don’t compliment when you carry a designer purse? Jealousy, that’s how I see it LOL

All of this has good points and bad points. The good part is that those who cannot afford a Birkin, or can afford one but would rather spend their money on something else can get a Wirkin. The bad part is that people are judging others when it is not their business what people want to spend their money on. People just need to decide what they want to do, and not judge others for their decisions. 👜❤. PS, love the perfume shelves.

I bought the 25 green one on 12/30. The green is a teal color. My order still says “preparing” and scheduled for delivery Jan 14. I’ve heard people that Walmart is cancelling orders but I haven’t heard that yet. Edit: The seller is not Walmart. It’s a third party Chinese (I’m guessing) seller.

So glad I don't know the difference. I suppose I might if I saw 2 bags sitting right next to each other. Therefore I have no basis for having bias, judgement, prejudice. if you like the look of a bag, a buy it. IF you can afford it, buy it.
