The problem with twitch ads over KZbin ads is on KZbin im not missing content. On twitch I'm literally missing 30 seconds of live content that I really have no way of experiencing again. And when a map can take 40 seconds, that's an entire run I'm missing.

​@@alansmithee419 Some streamers make vods behind paywall though. You can't really rewind in twitch (or maybe I'm not aware), which is just atrocious. In KZbin, even on livestream, I can just slide the timer to my convenience, double the speed and so on.

The 4-8 ad prerolls, the every 10-15 mins another 2-4 ads, twitch taking a massive cut from creators, twitch making horrible rule changes, etc, is the reason I dont use twitch really. Sometimes I'll load up a vod I wanna watch that ain't on KZbin, but that's like once every couple months maybe. Their vod system just sucks, and the fact most vods get deleted after a month or whatever sucks even more. The entire platform is just terrible imo and I wish the creators would just all move to KZbin, it'd make watching content so much better. Until KZbin steps up their game with streams I don't see it happening anytime soon, tho to be fair Ive been actually seeing streams in my feed now so I think they're working on it which is awesome

The problem with Kick is that it sucks so much that it allows Twitch to be even worse. Twitch is like a 7/10 platform, but Kick is a 3 at best. So when Bezos and friends see that, they think "we can afford to become a 5/10 app and make more money while still being the #1 service".

i find it hilarious that people say steering is inverted. if you press the right, the front wheels turn to the right with respect to the direction the driver is facing no matter what. if the car is moving in reverse, the car moves to the left when pressing right, not because "steering is inverted", but because your camera is facing the opposite direction. if your camera was pointing forward while going in reverse, you would notice the car still goes to the right side of the screen when you press right. xdd it's like TM players have never driven a real car before.

A consistent theme I've seen across twitch streamers is that everybody talks up about how shit twitch is, and how more people should move to KICK to create a competition, but nobody actually wants to take the plunge and move over. KICK will be dead in 2 years just like mixer, because nobody will actually bother to put themselves at risk when they're already making far more than the average person.

Kick will probably never be a competition. If anything, Kick sucks so bad that it allows Twitch to be even worse while maintining their leader position. They would need one of Twitch's top 100 streamers to make the move. It's not someone with 20 viewers who makes 100 bucks a month off of bits (which, on Twitch, still means you're a one-percenter) who can make an impact.

No. Service. Is. Free. If a product/service is "free", than YOU are the product/service. Giving amazon all the data of your streaming habbits by linking your amazon to your twitch account, with no hussel and no legal problems for them, is worth so much more for amazon than those 5$ (effectively 2, since they keep half, I guess?) they have to pay to a creator like every 1.5 month or so (since ppl won't refresh the prime ASAP all the time). You are NOT immune to adds which are specifically tailored to you.

honestly I'm surprised that so many people can afford Twitch prime. They all say Twitch prime is free but it's not. Amazon prime isn't. But who uses Amazon so much that they need Prime as a service? personally if I use Amazon once a year it's already a lot.
