I should clarify as it was never really that obvious. This is not exactly double elimination. (For top 64) The way the danger zone works is that the 8 slowest drivers get added to the dangerzone to fight next round and the bottom 4 of the dangerzone gets eliminated. So its not actually double elimination, you can go in and out of the dangerzone at anytime. You have to make 2 mistakes in a row to get eliminated

I like the elimination format. That way if you get a bad respawn or mistake early on, you aren't out immediately and can claw your way back to doing well.

Actually, ”accelerating” in the air has an effect on vehicles. This is the most evident in monster trucks . Spinning the wheels kinda provide a gyro effect and slamming the breaks can slow the rotation

​​@@nukewurld Zetorate who is the main host won't have the time anymore due to personal reasons. What makes the cup interesting is that it's a brand new and unknown map made for the cup every week, so it takes a lot of time to put everything together with all the rest (talking with mappers, testing, hosting, uploading the VODs, sending messages in the discord etc). On my side I'm creating the cup visuals, tweets, results and such and due to my job I can't do much more too, sadly. That beeing said we are also open if another person we can trust wants to keep running it :) And who knows maybe we'll have the time again in the future.

Just a heads up, there is actually an impact on a real car, bike etc when it's in the air that's dependant on whether or not you're holding the throttle or not. For example, the reason you see a monster truck go full throttle when it's doing a back flip, and motorbikes for that matter is because the wheels rotating increase the rotational moment affecting the whole vehicle. It's also the reason you'll see motor cross riders hit the rear brake when they're finishing their flip, because it reduces the rotational moment of inertia.

I appreciate showing unpolished and not so perfect runs. It's easy to think that a player like Wirtual's caliber can always do everything perfectly given how many World Records and insane CoTD competitions he's had. I wanted to add, throttle and brake in a real car off a jump cam make a difference, it's better seen on motorcycles as over larger jumps they will throttle to spin back a bit and break to spin forward a bit using the motion of the wheels, physics wise it happens on a car to just to a lesser degree because of weight and aero, but it does affect the cars position in the air forward to back
