The track is in puzzle mode, which is a mode in TMUF where you are given certain blocks and you have to build the track yourself in a way that gives you the fastest path to the finish. The new wr uses a different solution from the previous wr which is why it is different.

there is platform mode, which encourages you to be safe. There are also trial maps where just completing them is the goal (and THEN people speedrun it)

On ghost replays on TMNF, the car doesn't turn smoothly, but rather in ticks. The ticks seem rather slow also. Does the game compute as the ghosts are shown (in ticks) or does it compute smoothly (well, which just probably means quicker ticks)?

How are TAS records caught that are basically pieced together consecutive human runs? Like, is it possible to get a super good start and then basicslly have TAS copy the inputs up to a certain point? Just to enable one to get 100 tries on the next super risky strat instea of 100 tries to get to that point so well and then only 1 of 100 of those works.

At like 11:30 around there, I saw that the new world record has a little ramp for the jump he did, but the old world record didn't show that ramp. Idk, but it seems like a little bit of cheating is happening... I just wanted to point that out, I'm not calling it fake, but for me it just looked like it.

IIRC he explained thats a "puzzle" map where they place all the (I assume non finish start or checkpoint) blocks in the editor, so those block can be different, and that's why he didn't show a replay and instead just the recording.
