yea i was complaining about our OC up until this game, found out about Dana Holgerson stepping into the team this week and my eyes sparkled. Glad i got to watch this one in the stands, we havent gotten to see an offense that looks that alive since the first half of the colorado game and dylan was a fundamentally worse QB in week 2 compared to now.

The OC they hired at the beginning of the year is terrible. He’s got a great back field set and it’s almost like he would refuse to establish the run in games. He would attempt a couple runs on the first drive and if they didn’t get positive yards and drive down the field, he would sometimes just abandon trying to set it up for whole half’s if not more. Force dylan to drop back and pass on 1st down where he would get molested by all the D-Linemen they like to send at him, then being 2nd and 10 we’d run the ball up the middle and go nowhere, do the same thing as 1st down on 3rd, punt and repeat. Like clockwork until riola does something crazy with his talent and they have a big play then he’ll attempt to establish it again, use it for the rest of the drive and completely abandon it on the next drive.

Last time they played a home game the offense was so terrible that people basically wanted to Lynch Marcus satterfield. The very next home game they put up the best offensive performance of the year against a slightly better team. What a difference a few weeks makes I guess, but hey..... They finally overcame the curse and got number six.

Satterfield isn’t calling the plays though. Satterfield embarrassing told people his goal is 5 yards at most each play. His offense calling bad no rhythm, no swagger. It showed constantly all season. Holgorson comes in and this offense feels alive. I’m glad they got Emmitt Johnson the ball this week. He’s a serious good back who’s quick and elusive. Dylan looked comfortable again poised. I’m glad Satterfield was okay stepping back, he clearly wasn’t the guy.

The highlights were pretty good until the second half of the 4th quarter. Especially when Wisconsin scored on the long bomb, then there was a replay showing no safety support left the receiver wide open, then it fast forwarded to Nebraska with goal-to-go and scoring the final touchdown. There was nothing showing the 2-point conversion, or the last drive of the game.

The big ten even came out and apologized for the incorrect spot that clearly defined the loss for the huskers. We would’ve been 6-4 at least going into the game with that. Not complaining about other calls but when the big ten admits a blunder at least we have a leg to stand on with that.

I am an Ohio State grad (and Catholic). But I said yesterday, the academies sucked and had no business being ranked ever. With that being said, the two wins by Notre Dame is eye opening, natty contenders do what Notre Dame did, they expose frauds. Right now, on eye test alone, I have Ohio State as 1, Notre Dame as 2, Oregon and Penn state round out the top 4. I would say only Texas and Tennessee are the only legit teams that can win a natty as their defenses are title team level they both have issues at QB. Love, Price and Leonard are doing an excellent job at masking Notre Dame's flaws. Whereas Penn State has the same flaws and you can see it clearly on the field. People are sleeping Notre Dame and Love, he is a helluva player. Oregon has some questions, I believe Lanning is a weak link, their players are great. Lanning needs some more Marcus Freeman or Tressel ball.
