When I went to school in lacrosse back in 1981, there were like 240 bars listed in the yellow pages! The little corner taverns we’re always neat in their own way. I used to ride my bike everywhere. There is lots of interesting variety of architecture displayed in the houses around there! The waterways & parks are nice but biking thru the neighborhoods just east south east of downtown are really pretty too. It’s been years since I have visited but my guess is that it’s still wonderful! Grand Dads Bluff is worth the look ! The views are extraordinary!

Going to school here currently and it’s still amazing. I’m currently writing my senior paper on the federal government spying on and intimidating German speaking residents into silence during WWI in La Crosse. Very illuminating stuff, no one has written about it occurring in La Crosse, very interesting stuff.
