All words in Telugu end with a vowel..its the next purest form of Sankrit..Italian of the East The language has the most perfect pronounciation...unlike other southern languages. Easy for most North indians to learn.. U will notice most Hindi and Telugu words r similar.

The same is true for Kannada. Has nothing to do with Sanskrit. Though the trend now is to pronounce English loanwords the same way as in English (ಕಾರ್, ಪೆನ್, ಬಸ್, ...), earlier the natural tendency was to add the vowel u at the end of English loanwords (ಕಾರು, ಪೆನ್ನು, ಬಸ್ಸು, ...) as words with Kannada / Dravidian origin tend to end in a vowel. Quite a few words in Hindi and Telugu are similar because Telugu borrowed a lot from Sanskrit, Urdu and Persian.

@jyo It has nothing to do with Sanskrit. Sanskrit uses even less vowels than Kannada. In pure Kannada a syllable normally consists either of a vowel (V) alone (possible only at the beginning of a word) or a consonant followed by a vowel (CV). In words with Sanskrit origin you can have 3 consecutive consonants in the same syllable, e.g. _stree_ (CCCV) / woman or _raashtra_ (CVCCCV) / nation. That's not at all possible in pure Kannada.

I want to learn because it’s my mother tongue but my great grandma didn’t speak Telugu to my grandma. So my grandma, mom, myself and my child are unable to speak Telugu now. So I decided to learn now. But unfortunately I don’t have any Telugu friends to practice communication skill. From Malaysia.

చాల బాగుంది should be చాలా బాగుంది And as far as I understand Hindi बहुत भारी है doesn't have the same meaning as what is written in Kannada, Telugu and Tamil. I guess it would be more like बहुत अच्छा है in Hindi.

the 'mu' in namaskaramu is usually omitted subhaparahnam (good afternoon) I heard this word for the first time in my life 'meeru' is the plural word/respectful way to say 'YOU' (just like aap in hindi) 'nuvvu' is the singular word for 'you' 'dhanyavadalu' is not used in everyday language for a meal you can just use 'bhojanam'
