You can still love the person and still breakup because of expectations. Its impossible to live 15 years with someone HAPPILY when the person decided 10 years ago not to work anymore nor help with his child and all the weight is on you. I was having troubles with my highschool sweetheart who i was with for over 10 years. There are some golden nuggets in this message, but I disagree with one. Don’t be foolishness enough to look at the parents and decide that’s what your spouse will look like in 20 years. I was married for over 22 years and wore a size 4 when we got married. I gave birth to two sons during the marriage and I’m still wearing sizes 4/6 today. He would’ve assumed WRONG if he tried to compare me to my mom. Being slender is natural for me. There’s always an exception so it’s better not to make blanket statements like that. It’s unfortunate that so many people literally buy into that ridiculousness.
