One thing thats really great about his character is his reaction when he wins. He isn't laughing or gloating or anything like that. He seems almost sad. He legitimately did not want to do this, but in his twisted view he HAD to. His victory wasn't a triumph, it was a necessary evil. This is probably a big reason he always seemed to have a degree of humility and respect for his opponents: He saw them not as fools or enemies, just as people too shortsighted to see what had to be done.

Endgame was absolutely horrible. No plot at all just marvel being out of touch for a change and not having anywhere else to go or any other ideas because they had did everything up until Endgame. There was a prediction that could be drawn from watch the endgame trailer what the movie would most likely be. but seeing the movie in theater and at home...It sucked. So much and that hurts so much because my expectations, my hopes, my dreams, well maybe not my dreams, but what I wanted I did not get and I'm sure many comic lovers wanted what I wanted too. But Marvel Movies are mainstream, not following the rules that comics follow the movies appeal to the mass media not die-hard marvel fans. Bad decisions, bad writing, lack of general tone, villain problems again for some reason, too much fucking fan service, emasculating strong characters for no reason, weird decisions made with Captain Marvel, ignorant brain dead ant-man and his obsession with Steve Rogers, little reference to Wakanda even though THAT WAS THE FUCKING BATTLEGROUND OF INFINITY WAR!!!!! So many problems and no real "vision" for the future. Everyone may love the mcu, but from the looks of it, the mcu is DOOMED and not in a Disney bought FOX so now we get to see Doctor Doom kinda way. I mean a MCU will no longer make competent and logical movies instead it will all be a bunch of bullshit. Endgame and Far from Home are the forerunners of this.

Shaded Zaleph I didn’t say it was the correct view, but I see your point.
@revampedharpy094 жыл бұрын
@@excelsior8682 he does have a point, though I can't say I like his method to deal with it. Overpopulation IS a very real issue, it's one were likely going to need to confront sooner than we'd like, since even with perfect distribution of was the resources, it can only really sustain 10 billion people, and were already at 7 billion, and, based on current predictions, we're going to reach and exceed 10 billion by the end of the century. And again, that 10 billion is assuming resources are distributed perfectly, which they currently are far from it, if they were, there wouldn't be countries where, as you'll have likely see on TV from charity ads, people have to walk miles just to get water that'll still probably kill them anyway. But, that is just going on a planets scale, since it's certainly starting to look like we wont just have earths resources to survive on by the end of the century, seeing as there's already plans in place to start setting up abasic moon colony set up (NASA) by 2025, not to mention putting people on mars in the 2030s, assuming nobody manages to do it sooner, so that still leaves another 60-70 years to progress from the first landing to starting to set up a colony to start being able to use mars as another source of resources. Yikes, sorry for the essay, but yeah, thanks has a very good point, just his plan for fixing the problem isn't nearly as good. I mean yes, it solves the problem temporarily, but it causes so much pain, and isn't even going to fix the problem for long, since it really doesn't take a massive amount of time for a population to double. I'll admit I can't think of a permanent solution, but just using the stones to increase the amount of resources, while it won't necessarily work for too long either, it's something that can be repeated when needed, and I seriously doubt anyone would take issue with it, since it doesn't harm anyone, unlike erasing half of life from existance

It's so irrational and unbelievable. I mean if he believed that then why not even kill 100% of the universe? In the movies, they made Thanos a rational, believable character. End game wrecked ideology and manner of Thanos objectively speaking. In infinity war, though he fought against his enemies he doesn't do it out of hatred or just being evil he respects Tony and honored his words of not killing him which he gave to Dr.Strange also calls Wanda her child and tries to have a little bit of sympathy with her however; Thanos in the End Game becomes a simplistic evil guy who who thinks the enemies whom his other self used to respect are bunch of ungrateful beings and he developes a grudge against them and says it's gonna be enjoyable for him to destroy earth. For a person of his understanding and perception, he should have never hold any grudge to begin with he knows those people or heroes are just doing their jobs and they lack the insight necessary just like Infinity War and he shouldn't have hold any grudge against them.

As he gets closer to his goals, he starts to emphasize with people, it’s like the same power that would otherwise corrupt people has the opposite effect on Thanos. Also a lot of his changes happen when he splits from his goons, maybe because he has to act more intimidating in front of them to get respect as an overlord.

Nietzsche actually flipped this quote into absolute weakness corrupts absolutely. Power on the other hand is the source of true morality. Power doesn't corrupt, it just shows your true colors. Sometimes those colors are inner hatred and resentment which again stems from the weakness of not being able to overcome oneself. The original quote stems from the fear of the herd mentality. The fear of exceptional men.

Thanos was a hero. Not the one they deserved but the one they needed. Tony Stark and Ant-Man are known for fucking things up and it was their plan to use time travel to undo something Thanos proved was necessary from his Titan story

@@majormarketing6552 It seems like you and Thanos don't understand that after a major disaster birthrates skyrocket. So eventually the universe population would be to where it was before, be in a worse situation then Titan since the population would use resources quicker since there's half of the population now. And since Thanos destroyed the stones his entire mission is pointless in the end since he has no one to continue the snap or etc, and he has left half of the universe defense less to entities like Dormammu. Yeah some hero he is. He only focused on the present despite claiming focusing on the future.

I always liked the way Thanos was compassionate toward Wanda. He admires and understands her struggle to sacrifice someone she loves for the greater good--after all in his mind that's exactly what he did too. He doesn't get mad either when she accuses him of not being able to understand. He's gentle, nurturing even, in the face of her pain. Thanos never wanted to hurt anyone, it's all just unfortunate collateral damage on his way to finishing his great quest.

@KiLLED56395 жыл бұрын
@@Chris_Lun **Opion alert** I would argue against that. Infinity War is the conquest of Thanos and the avenger's fight to disrupt that conquest. Endgame having Thanos in it doesn't really play on the super villain and super hero story building up. Which I think is what makes super hero movies good-period. They definitely did not do it in the way Infinity War did. In my opinion, as the comment above is (aka my opinion and NOT fact), endgame failed in that sense. I think the movie was good, especially having a homicide as the motive for the whole movie, but it was kind of cliché they even brought Thanos back. If the movie stayed consistent with the avengers adventures through time and the main advesary being the challenges they face through time travel (to get the infinity stones of course), and even introducing a new villain that will build up later on in the MCU, like Thanos did in the Inifity Saga, I think we could of had a better and shorter movie-and the not forcing of the neo-Thanos character into the mix so much.

His quote, his goals. If you sit in the long-ass traffic jam, you'll realize that maybe Thanos was right. He sacrificed everything even the daughter he loves the most, to stand tall when the world is against you and to do something knowing you will be hated for the rest of your life for it by a whole lot of people and you gain nothing from it. Yes "the hardest choices require the strongest of will" sums it all.

Dylan Wesley “Right” and “wrong” is a completely made up concept taught to you when you were younger. You were lied to at a young age that there’s a clear cut “right” choice or “wrong” choice” and that their are “good” and “bad” guys.It’s much harder to know what’s right and wrong or good and bad when you take in account all the minor details, because details do matter. To people like you who would have loss their loved ones and even had a chance of not existing anymore it seems wrong and that he’s evil, but literally everyone after you, who gets to continue to keep living and wasn’t affected by him that get to have a chance at life and not struggling to eat due to the fact that their will be resources available for them he’s seen as a hero because he extended to the possibility for millions of years to come.
