No way are the Aftons accurate, but many still watch for the drama. Canon is appreciated, but if it doesn't go against morals and ethics, it's fine to twist it up a bit. If you'd prefer a more accurate reaction, just switch channels. Adding on to the factor, this is not a skill issue. It's more of a choice. They were aware it was not accurate but preferred it this way. In no way do we have hard evidence that they cannot pull off canon personalities and make it interesting. And in complete honesty, I don't in any way think you're just trying to help them improve, you just sound like an angry fan.
