Yes but wrong sensor I think, speed is off quite a bit

question, i plan on buying a 91-96 dakota however i want a manual v8, i cant find one but i can find a v6 manual so i would have to convert either a manual v6 swap the motor to a v8 or get a auto v8 and swap to manual, which is better? im new to this thank you brother

@@j_moffitt well just forget the Dakota part, I basically just want a manual V8 , I'm not sure the best way and cheapest way too achieve

I know nothing about engine/trans options for the Dakota so all I would know to do is find a trans that matches the power and setup you’re trying to achieve. Once you have your trans it’s just a matter of finding the correct clutch and petal assemby and have a drive shaft or 2 made.

Hey there. I'm doing same swap just 2wd and it's my twin daughters 1st vehicle. Wouldn't start today for 1st time testing it. Did you put clutch switch on also? I did do N/S bypass like you showed. I got no turnover so assuming connection issue to run down.

I did not add a clutch switch. I would start at the ignition and trace it out and see where you’re not getting connection.

The angle on the shifter.. is that to allow for the cup holder? I have 98 2500 cummins with auto and big ass fold out cup holder..great stuff!!

You need to make sure your speed sensor is hooked up and it’s compatible

piston out of chainsaw would be an interesting shifter knob. the was the neutral safety switch on the auto trans. looking good young man. nice to see it is working well.
