Thank you, well done! When there is a need to copy similar report from rs, i prefer to add a workbook(xlWBATWorksheet) in a newly created instance of excel application rather than adding sheet to the existing wb.

I never tested but if there is still a need to copy to a sheet in the same wb, maybe it worth trying to copy to an array from rs followed by copying from the array to a range -in order to bypass the above mentioned bug. Data types will be lost while first copying to an array of variant - so we will need to capture 'em from first rs data row. Again, i am not sure if this will work but at least i would try this option as there is no looping involved.

Indeed, that's a good way around it! I guess I was just curious about what's going on inside the CopyFromRecordset method which causes this behaviour in the first place. And, more importantly, why it hasn't been fixed after at least 10 years!

As usual a stunning tutorial Andrew, unfortunately I can't help you with the format problem, however my code is so insufficient and slow maybe that's the answer 😀, I'm connecting to a file from our lab department why is it actually opening?

I would like to ask please, I tried to get Sum of some columns with Where statement. And get unique values of columns some columns using SELECT DISTINCT. it's working fine, but to my surprise, the code gives error when the number of records for the table is getting 70k record and more. it's giving an error message. do you Sir, have the same problem? appreciate you answer Regards
