My great grandmother mowed her own lawn till she was 92. She couldn't pull start the mower so she pushed it up to the corner store and they would start it for her. She'd push it back home and mow the grass. Probably the most godly, sweet, kind, and best human beings you'd ever wanna meet. Same church for over 50 years. Passed at 96. We miss you Nanny Ann

Well, in 2019 after she went to the Dr to inquire about why she had a continuous cough and severe pain in her spine..she cried and told me she was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer which spread throughout her whole body. She didn't want to fight it cause she was too old she said and being it was basically too late too...She was gone after a few months, she was 93. Only the pain stopped her. Smart man. That's a big area to mow without a riding lawnmower. I can't tell how he's keeping the mower going, though. Must have customized something to hold the bar down on the handle.

My Dad found a table saw at a garage sale, fixed it and used it to saw firewood. His woodpile was perfectly uniformly stacked. He was like 86 then. So cute to watch him cut his wood as the satisfaction on his face was evident.

How did he do that it went so far and turned. I have a bad heart and lungs so this would help on my 5 acres
@Gracecalledmedaughter2 ай бұрын
@suelivingston9217 He tied his mower to a stake in the ground, and so every time the mower makes a pass around the stake it windes up the rope and pulls the mower in a tighter circle till the mower get wound up by the stake, then you just move the mower to a different stake.

My dad passed away in 1971 but my mom would try to cut her grass, we took the spark plug out so that it wouldn't start. My brother or myself would go by every Saturday & cut it for her. We just believe even though the children are gone it's still their job to take care of the parents in their golden years. They took care & provided for us now it's our turn to give back.
