All around good kayak. The RS117 can be a better option if you fish a bunch of different kind of water. I’ve used mine is big lakes like Kentucky lake to small rivers like you’re on in this video. I’ve felt safe in every situation I’ve put it in. Much easier to paddle than my SS127 and maybe more stable. You do give up some comfort in the seat but not much and I’ve spent some 14 hours days on the RS. I still consider it the best kayak I’ve ever owned.

That’s a great kayak! I had a 2018 native slayer propel 10, and I loved how easy it was to haul and also enjoyed the pedal drive. But I couldn’t go down the river rapids with the pedal drive, and also needed more room for cargo lol. Its def a good one for sure! 🎣💙

The kayak was very easy to paddle to gain speed and navigate. My ss127 does a better job at holding position without an anchor, but it’s also about 100 pounds heavier with my added gear lol. So it should. 🎣💙
