With our 'band' being only 2 people, I started playing 8-string bass on this, and I begin with the lines at the start of the song, playing enough of the 12-string part to make it familiar. I drop into the specific bass part at the 1:45 point like you did. Sounds pretty good, and thanks for putting this together.

Thanks for this! I only picked up the bass guitar about 6 weeks ago. I have absolutely no musical ability whatsoever, but I sing and play percussion for a guy who plays acoustic, and we both love this track, but we sounded 'empty' if you know what I mean. We needed 'something' else, so I decided to go out and buy myself a short scale bass (coz I'm a tiny woman with tiny hands), and I'm trying to learn your bass line for this song. It's progressing very slowly.... I've only just learned to hammer on for that wee repetitive lick, the bit from the open A string to 2nd fret? The good thing about it is, I can play your video over and over until I DO get it, so thank you very much.
