She anticipated exactly how Luz would move and summoned the Abominations for her to destroy in the perfect pattern to spell out her message, not to mention she knew how Luz would attack in order for her to get that perfect angling. When you stop to think, it really takes a keen mind and intimate knowledge of your opponent to pull something off this well.

It's possible that she could've manipulated the goo as/after the abominations were destroyed in order to make them lay in just the right way. But that's a _lot_ of concentration, while continuing to create more to keep Luz busy, and at this point in the show I wouldn't think she'd honed her skills quite that much. So either way, it is _really_ impressive.

At the end, this happens, giving us great lesbian representation, and coming off the heels of the ending of legend of Korra, while also being bolder with the more explicit representation.
