Hey man. They've been around since 2000 I think. Honestly, I would recommend their whole discography. Witchcraft (their first cd) is my favourite out of their three so far. But every cd they have put put has for me been an instant classic. Firewood is an amazing cd as well and their latest The Alchemist is fantastic as well. For all of their cd's you just pop it in and let it play man for me there's no skipable tracks. These guys are an incredible band man I'm glad you like them. Cheers.

@BloodAndThunder00 I can't agree more with what you said about "no skipable tracks." This is unusual among my CD collection, even with great bands. These guys are perhaps the most consistant on the quality of their material and performance of all the recordings I own. And they are the same live - I have never been disappointed in their shows.

You might also want to check out Trouble, The Sword, Blood Ceremony, and Kyuss. They all fit nicely in a playlist with Black Sabbath and Witchcraft in my opinion. ,|m/

You should also check out a band called orchid the album is called capricorn. Dont be mistaken cause there is also a shit emo metal band called orchid. but the band that made the album capricorn is very black sabbath too.

+alienthompson The Sword is good but they're an entirely different band with a totally different sound & influences..Some might think The Sword is better but not everyone who likes witchcraft will like The Sword.

kills them in terms of technicality? how so? I'm not bashing Witchcraft, they're a good band, but to say they kill the sword in terms of technicality is a bit of a reach. The sword seems, to me, to be more talented as musicians, especially when they had Trivett Wingo on drums.

Im not bashing the sword either i love both bands, but i feel Witchcraft's solos and leads are more tasteful and less shreddy. I feel the sword ventures outside the pentatonic scale way less than witchcraft, who, melodically, has more variation. Not to mention the witchcraft dudes vocal parts are way more ambitious. The sword has a lot of fast licks and pentatonic runs in their riffs but i feel like shredding a fast bluesy solo (in the vein of Matt Pike, for reference) is less technical than utilizing flavorful melodic qualities beyond the blues in a solo, albeit in a slower way. Also even when witchcraft is just doing bluesy solos their phrasing is more interesting than the swords. Compare the solo in Mr Haze or You Suffer by Witchcraft to anything from Age of Winters or Warp Riders.
