One of the things I like about this version is that it does stay true to the source material such as having the boy not being referred to by name and having him the narrator of the story and also most crucially the ending is very true to the source material

The sad thing about the original ending is that the lifespan of the boy as a mouse would be shorter than his human life and then grandma most likely she should have to face the loss of her grandson after the loss of her daughter and son in law. 😭😭😭 Grieving the lose of children is the worse fate in this life.
