Ya it looks like i biffed it pretty hard here. I upgraded to 2 gnosis and hit level 30 before i bothered researching anything. Now i feel stupid. And i think i started with the hardest character too for the flaming crossbow

@@johndodo2062 character doesn’t matter too much other than what you start with. You can get all the same stuff eventually.

You can always farm the first map for a while, regardless of your level, to research more stuff and unlock the first upgrade of each item. You will need to do the second map for the second upgrades, but now that the game has that first "beginner" map, grinding out stuff is a breeze. Edit - that being said, I went to level 31 and Gnosis 2 before killing the first familiar, and now it is a bit of a challenge. I think I am going to restart lol.

Heads up. Maybe a bit more “what is Gnosis” rather than “how to level it up” as you can understand the second one by reading in the game.

gnosis basically is making new enemies and threat level much more difficult and it rewards you with stuff you unlock...
