After the bite of 83 that’s how golden Freddy lost its spring locks, I think. Golden Freddy is known to be possessed by two souls, Cassidy and Chris/Evan. Cassidy was decapitated and her soul was trapped inside of Golden Freddy, but Evan was put in Golden Freddy because of the bite of 83. I still have to do more research but this is what I have for now.

When he says ill put you back together. He becomes golden freddy. But william kills 5 children. Susie, fritz, jeremy, gabriel. And then william got out of control killing a final 5th child. (Technically 6th because he killed Charlotte before this) cassidy. She kicked and screamed but it ended the same way. Since there were only 4 costumes and 5 kids he stuffed cassidy in fredbear.
