What is the use of any dedicated freight corridors, if they are not connected to any major port? WDFC has still NOT been connected to JNPT port in NAVI Mumbai. Moreover, the EDFC is constructed only up to Sonnagar in Bihar. It needs to be extended up to Kolkata port, to be of any use.

I mean we should have more expressways there instead of railways i guess because the width is not too much and all states except Telangana have coastal connectivity. Corridor more areas like jharkhand chattisgarh is needed to bring more coal. That is in the pipeline and also a trans corridor connecting eastern and western Ghats But BJP opened so many deep sea ports there in vinizgham, Toothukudi etc. These are much needed instaed of corridor i guess
