I agree with what you guys have been saying, and I wanted to point out a cool detail; since Sonic knows he’s being a villain in her eyes, and he says that great line “I’ve just gotta do what I’ve gotta do, that’s all!” It’s really cool that his theme from SA1 starts playing. @@Fire-kv9lg Nah totally agree, Sonic and Merlina's battle was a clashing of two views on how life should be. I think more people could understand Sonic's view because an end to life makes living your time to the best of your ability that much more important, and that much more special. However Merlina's view isn't necessarily incorrect, it is just a concept that we as mortal beings are alien to, and we are therefore more likely to deem them as wrong, especially in a polarizing context such as this, where our 'hero' is telling us to disagree with her view.

I like to see the main version and this one as dual-sides of the conflict, neither Merlina or Sonic are really the hero or villain of this story, they're both just trying to do what they believe is right. Excellent stuff, I miss the Jason Griffith/Dark Age of Sonic stories.
