Let me summarize whether I follow this right: 1. 1:21 As the end is frayed, you apply a new piece of the reinforce tape, with superglue. You need to cut the width to the proper length of course. 2. 1:34 Then you apply pressure with a a plier to a piece of pill foil, so the reinforce tape gets fully immersed in the super glue. At this point I wonder whether the foil does not get stuck right away, since it's super glue.. So I guess you have to quickly remove the foil right away? And doesn't that pull off some of the glue? 3. Let it dry before you take the next step or the next foil will get stuck. 4. 2:03 fix the pieces of styrofoam to the zipper end with superglue to recreate the lost insert pin. This is the critical part of the exercise, as we want to recreate an insert pin, so it needs to both stick and be of strong material. I wonder however whether styrofoam is solid enough to stick.. It will mostly be the glue that becomes solid, but the styrofoam is actually prone to crumble when pressure is exerted, so as soon as real pressure is applied when wearing the clothes, if there is not enough hard material left by the glue, the styrofoam will tear. Plus the risk of the styrofoam dissolving from the material in the glue, maybe not right away either. Isn't it better to not use any styrofoam, but some hard material instead, any small piece of plastic? A straw for example that you melt on it with a lighter? 5. When putting pressure on the styrofoam and glue to "shape it" with the help of the foil, the problem is that the superglue will glue the foil to the construct if you keep it there too long. But if you don't, the shape of the glued styrofoam will not be proper. It is also suspicious to me how the video cut after the last step, before the filing: it looks to me like this was a ready product already. I don't think it is easy to reproduce. I think this method would work better with a harder material than the styrofoam, which you can mold right away with the pliers, but can remove the foil immediately as well and let the molded shape dry without the risk of the foil sticking to it. Plastic is harder than styrofoam, melting it to the end makes sure it sticks.

Классно конечно придумано, но только не для тех молний, которые каждый день нужно открывать - закрывать, да не по разу! А так да, полезное видео, спасибо! (ʘᴗʘ✿)
