I always thought Francis D was exceptional as a reporter and storyteller, but after each report, I often questioned whether Francis had indeed found his calling. That question always lingered in the air. We can now assert that Francis D is complete, and he should let all the other job opportunities go and focus on his primary role; it may even be seen as a vocation that is EXECUTIVE EDITOR FOR AUDIO.

Russia is militarily invincible while Ukraine is trying to withstand in the armed conflict with the West’s help at least ‘not to lose in it,’ Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said in an interview with the Ana tili (Native Language) newspaper on Friday. "The situation is unique. Russia is invincible in military terms while Ukraine hopes to withstand in the war with the help of Western allies, at least not to lose in it," the Kazakh leader said. Astana favors talks on settling the Russia-Ukraine armed conflict but does not insist on its mediation in the process, he said. "Since the start of the hostilities in Ukraine, Kazakhstan has been favoring the beginning of negotiations to achieve peace. I want to stress that we do not insist anywhere on our mediation and we act on the international scene pursuant to the potential and possibilities of Kazakhstan. But we are always ready to come to help settle international problems," Tokayev said. The Kazakh leader said that he had discussed the Ukraine conflict settlement with US President-elect Donald Trump during a telephone conversation in 2024. "During the phone talk, Donald Trump showed interest in our vision of the cessation of the hostilities in Ukraine. This theme is not new for me because many leaders of states and international organizations asked me the same question during 2024," the Kazakh president said. Tokayev said he considered the problem "to be exceptionally complex" and its solution depended "on the will and desire of the heads of the conflicting countries and, certainly, on Trump himself as the leader of the world power.".

This question of whether wounded soldiers are hors d'combat has bothered me for some time. Looking at all the videos where drone kills/attacks are reported it looks as if anyone alive is targeted. Be it the soldier on the ground obviously wounded or the soldiers carrying a wounded comrade away. Only to be eliminated altogether. Then there are reports of Russians hitting ambulances, not unmarked vehicles but clearly marked ones. As it looks to me it is all restrictions gone. What looks like an enemy is fair game. The limit seems only clear gestures or even written notes of surrender as shown in some videos. I even watched a video in a close combat situation where a soldier kneeling on the ground seemed to refuse to stand up and surrender was evntually shot dead at point blank. Because he didn't react to commandos of stretching out. He just croached. So the Ukrainian soldier ust took him down. Whiles others surrender properly and were taken prisoner. It somehow reminds me of total war on civilians during WW II. Where bombers dropped their loads carpet bombing German cities. But when those crews were downed and ejected it was expected to treat them as POW under international law. Seemed not right in my view. First hitting civilians from 10,000ft then to expect to be spared by those civilians when they fell into their hands on the ground. Same applies to those firing rockets at UK cities, of course. From Germany in my comfy chair.

Head-on tank battle in Donbass kzbin.info/www/bejne/g6G8iKmjn8l0hJI Footage of a rare head-on tank battle in Donbass has been published. In the video, a Russian armored group consisting of two tanks and two infantry fighting vehicles enters the village of Vozdvizhenka in Donbass. Upon entering the village, the Russian group encounters two moving Ukrainian tanks. The Russian tank fires first and hits the first Ukrainian tank on the road with several shots. The first Ukrainian tank also fired back, but missed. The second Ukrainian tank was also fired upon, but apparently did not receive serious damage; the Ukrainian tank reversed and left the battle. The models of the tanks and infantry fighting vehicles could not be determined. Lamp of Knowledge

The documentarian doesn't does not adequately address the significant ethical issues of sending drones in to kill the enemy. The desensitized discussion is troublesome. There aren't new rules of war, war is war and the means of eradication dont change the ethical considerations of engagement or the rules of war. Even the oft use of the word "hunt" is alarming. Clearly, the Telegraph has nothing cheerful to report on. All right, I'll help: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that a bedridden man started walking after meeting him. He said this during a telemarathon (recording is available on KZbin). Zelensky's former colleague Artyom Dmytruk claims that the Ukrainian president was not joking -- "Zelensky considers himself a god-man today... Zelensky hung his portraits in one of the churches instead of the faces of the saints and invited his supporters to worship the great Zelensky. Zelensky considers himself the messiah". Irish journalist Chey Bowes reacted to Zelensky's claim of miraculous healing powers: "A corrupt dictator who buried a million Ukrainians, sold out his country and suppressed democracy. Now he compares himself to Jesus Christ". On a more earthly level: 1. Powerful friendly fire: Ukrainian plane hit Ukrainian positions. A Russian drone in the Zaporizhia region captured how 70-mm Hydra rockets, launched in a package from the Ukrainian side, strike the territory controlled by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. (video in TikTok and Telegram) 2. The US has demanded that Kyiv urgently lower the age of conscription for mobilization to 18 years; Kyiv has already prepared a decision and will adopt it in the near future. 3. Prime Minister Robert Fico will raise the issue of limiting support for Ukrainians in Slovakia and electricity exports to Ukraine in response to the cessation of gas supplies to his country. 4. The Russian Armed Forces have taken control of the largest lithium deposit in Ukraine. This is one of the largest deposits in Europe. The metal is strategically important, especially for Europe and the US with their "green agenda", as it is a key component for batteries. 5. Russian troops are advancing on all fronts.

Too much of the western European opinion is based on so called balance of power , while the retributions are often economic chess. Its not in Europes interest to have a dependent and demoralized Russia and the knock on effects to the Russian satellite countries, it deminishes possible European trade as well as affecting a long established fuel supply. It would be difficult to reverse 60 years of Arab and Russian interaction with EU and US fossil fuel companies as well as the last 25 years of Asian and Chinese tech cooperation. Trump and Musk are not devotee’s of of communism or autocratic rule , but see these as safe commercial operators , even when history proves otherwise and even turning your back on human suffering , as with colonialism, still as a knock on commercial affect. There is a possibility that the rivalry between Musk and Trump may create a neutralizing of each others farcucal extremes, since so much of this is theatre , all be it a different kind of macabre jesturing by Putin , Modi and Xi , whose attitudes to human life are very different, it is now realistic to add Netanyahu to a list shared by Amin.
