I am so impreesed with this band. I know they've been around for over a decade, but I only recently discovered them, I don't know how popular they are in the USA, but I pray they find a way to do even a limited set of tour dates over here. Doro Pesch has long been one of my favourite female lead singers, but time is catching her, and I believe Sharon can carry the torch of metal on into the 21st century. The music of WT is so dynamic and I just can't get enough, whether it's this acoustic set, or one of their great live performances. The future of this band is bright. Can't wait for the new release!

Not very popular, but they just hit nr.6 on UK chart with Hydra, so I guess they will get some more popularity in US as well. I surely hope so. The Netherlands has a bunch of really talented femalesingers in metal/rock-scene like Sharon or Anneke van Giersbergen, Delain's Charlotte Wessels, ReVamp with Floor Jansen (and of course she is the current singer in finnish Nightwish as well) and Simone Simons from Epica.

isktrfu I just listened to a interview on xm radio with her and one of her guitarists. They also played 3 acoustic songs, including an acoustic version of Paradise. Sharon's voice sounded incredible! I know they've done a few shows here in the states, but I wonder if they will ever do a full fledged US tour. There probably not enough fans here for it to be worth their while to even come. Don't know where you're from but here in the US it's all about rap and hip hop, enough to make me want to vomit! Not too many good metal shows to see unless Iron Maiden comes or the like.

Tom Englund I'm from Finland. I'm hoping there will be some touring in the U.S, WT's main fanbase is in fact in Europe and south-America, but there seems to be some demand for these symphonic rock/metalbands with female singer in the US, so you never know (Delain and ReVamp are doing heavy schedules ( supporting Sonata Arctica and Iced Earth) there next fall and Epica is just releasing new material and they've done US-tours in the past. Keep an eye on WT's webpage, they allready confirmed their the spring tours here in Europe, but next fall is empty. And it's the same in Finland, too. People see Finland as a "metalcountry", because our biggest musical imports are bands like Nightwish, Sonata Arctica, HIM, Amorphis or Stratovarius, but the mainstream musicmedia is mostly about Idols-contests, Justin Bieber-like teen pop stars like our own Justin B. called Robin (his crappy song called Frontside Ollie was a major hit here, now that I checked it has 11 MILLION views here in youtube), rap, useless tabloid celebrities "singing" something. I think it's a global phenomenon, sadly. I don't listen to radio anymore or watch any talentshows etc. I follow sources like youtube, some forums concerning music etc. Don't have to listen anything I don't like and I can focus on the things I do like.

Trust me, if she would've gone higher she would've been louder and completely blocking out the guitar and it would not fit the acoustic sound. Acoustic basically means toned down. Not ''the same but remove all the electric guitars and put acoustic ones in the place.''
