Yes, a great piece of songwriting. Only she's not screaming. She's singing in her upper register, which is not the same thing as screaming. Just because a singer is getting into the area of high notes, that does not mean they're screaming. When singers add vocal distortion to their voice, that too is technically not screaming. ....it's a legit singing style. Cheers!!

I Believe the girl's name was Sinéad but I don't know from what country she came from. Maybe was from Poland, cause the only foreing people that I know my grandmother work with was poles.

If you're familiar with Sinead--I'm not, but I quickly looked up 2 songs after I saw your comment--how could you possibly mistake the two? Sinead has a much gruffer voice and sounds like she carries decades of heartache from wars. She also sings at a lower register. Whereas Sharon sounds lighthearted, almost operatic and sings at much higher register.

If you know her story, then the song can be explained with that knowledge in mind. Someone also told me that it matches nicely with Stand my Ground. Sinead has a bad past - the key facts is that she was into drugs and stuff and at a key point in her life she breaks into her dad's house to steal money for drugs, gets caught and as her dad tries to stop her, she accidently shoots and kills him. She runs away in a panic. This is the meaning of the lyrics: "I've been drowning in sorry, chasing tomorrow running away". In the hours before the song starts, she vows to take down the violent boyfriend of her (only) friend. She murders him but gets killed in the process. At the beginning of the song, Sinead is lying dead in the morgue. The first half of the song is actually sung by a medium called Mother Maiden who has the means to stop people passing over to the other side. She knows Sinead's story and pitties her. She has basically told Sinead that as a result of her crimes, she will go to hell, but if she joins her team fighting evils then upon dying a second time, her soul may be redeemed enough to go to heaven. The first half is about Mother Maiden seeing Sinead is angry, loveless and lost and offers the chance to turn it around (I'm crossing the borders, sealing her fate, but I'm not afraid....... Oh Sinead set it free, come away with me). The second part is sung by Sinead who has accepted the offer (the second chance I know won't last, but its ok I've no regrets) . Sinead knows it is her final chance at redemption and time is running out (the correct lyrics are "I'm not fool" not "I'm a fool" btw). If you have seen the original video then you might wonder how it is she can walk in a nightclub with guns without anyone noticing. She is spiritally between worlds and can't be seen by most, except by the intended target.
